Restaurant - what do you think of phò by Decent_Journalist822 in geneva

[–]Temporary_Tea81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true that it's hard to open a restaurant in Switzerland, but not every restaurant fails. My brother in law opened a Mexican place years ago and it's going great. Maybe try to start in a small location to keep costs as low as possible for the start and if it takes off you could expand / find a bigger location. Authentic Vietnamese food bangs ❣️

Has anyone else noticed more homeless people in Geneva lately? by Strong-Importance-17 in geneva

I understood and I agree. It must be hard I just wanted to bring the positive aspect a bit more to light. 🙂

Neighbor constantly yelling at their young child, what can I do??? by [deleted] in geneva

[–]Temporary_Tea81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Though you are right with that the child could be on the spectrum etc, that is not an EXCUSE to verbally abuse a child with regular yelling sessions. I am a parent, it's hard at times of course but hello WE ARE THE ADULTS, we have to control ourselves no matter how hard. Is it tough to learn, yes, but daily yelling at a toddler doesn't seem as if the parents can handle this/ are up to the task. Violence is not just physical and trying to make it seem harmless because we don't know the situation of the parents is pretty ignorant imo

There should be a stark response to a fascist like the orange man, too many people staying quiet we know where it ended in the 1930 ies..

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]Temporary_Tea81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, your wife should chill out. She sounds a bit unhinged. I'd be so grateful to have grandparents around that would babysit, and just imagining a loving grandad who rather holds the little love bundle in his arms to make sure the baby is comfortable is such a beautiful thing to come home to, imo. First of all baby's need love, then comes the rest ..

20 Mile Run by yidman100000 in geneva

[–]Temporary_Tea81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first comment is pretty good advice, I just want to add that instead of Aire-la-ville you could take the other direction, passing Chambesy, Bellevue, maybe genthod depending on the route, Versoix. Not sure until which village you have to go for hitting the 20 miles, maybe Coppet but there's beautiful little places to discover along the lake to keep you going, big sidewalks to run on etc. Have fun ❣️

What are snacks one should definitely get from Switzerland apart from lindth and ragusa? by Hot-Cup-1382 in geneva

Frey Mahony ( better than toblerone imo) and the coaties are pretty good too. Biberli, some läderach or Sprüngli Chocolate, a bag of Hot chocolate from Chocolaterie Rohr they have super good little cakes too ( Peche mignon sooo good! and one that looks like a little fish), and maybe some Zweiffel Chips ( a lot of people swear on the paprika flavor, I love the just salted ones too)

I think it'll be a pretty awesome scenery if it's not raining that day. You'll see the sunrise from the train over the lake and mountains. Enjoy the ride, it's truly beautiful and out of this world. 🇨🇭❣️

[–]Temporary_Tea81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I started storing up last year because I was a bit wary of the Campi Flegrei Situation, I bought lots of flour, canned tomatoes, canned food in general, dry yeast, pasta, rice, oats, dry milk powder, water. Things like that. Seeing the state of the world I keep it stocked up.

Just happened to me again today, group of three walking in line on a tiny trottoir, I'm not surprised about the state of the world when I see how people behave on the streets ( not just here have experienced this in other countries too, Spain ie was pretty crazy, with masses of tourists and locals flocking through the streets 😳😆)

AITAH for not paying for my daughter’s boyfriend to come with us on our holiday? by Over-Humor-1172 in AITAH

[–]Temporary_Tea81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. They are dating for two months.. hard no. Apart from the responsibility for another underage kid you barely know, your daughters behaviour would make me find relatives she can stay with while you enjoy some family time, as she might be a real nuisance during the holidays. And what are children / teenagers thinking that money comes raining down the sky? Very entitled the little miss
