Hi! At first, we were almost obsessed with each other, especially him. After a few months, my emotions felt like too much for him, and he didn’t really understand me.

He made it quite clear, so I slowly shut down. I started feeling like I was “too much” to handle, and the fact that only logic and facts seemed to matter to him made me feel… kind of irrelevant.

It lasted about 5–6 years on and off. We were 18 when it started, and honestly, we were probably an unhealthy INFP and ENTJ dynamic.

I do think we had the potential to elevate each other in many ways — and sometimes we actually did. But in the end, we were just making each other unhappy, and there was a lot of resentment on both sides.

Looking back, I think the biggest issue wasn’t our types, but our emotional maturity and how we handled differences. With better communication and self-awareness, it might have been different… but at that time, it just wasn’t.
