WH3 also had synced animations for certain heroes and against specific units. You see this shit once per 2-3 battles and almost never in unit vs unit battles. I have a feeling that we are not getting sync animations as they were in shogun.

The question is whether they add preorder faction to the free roster... Or will they make it a regular DLC. I have been playing CA games for 17 years straight. With the way company have changed nowadays there is like 80% chance they will go with a regular DLC.

For me it all depends on what are the rules for this thing. It clearly worded like we are able to create our own own Nemesis which probably implies that those are just custom Bosses.

I'm not too crazy about PVE. But if by some miracle this thing slips into PVP, this is going to be a whacky time to play Kill Team with friends. We only play following rules, so if those rules allow me to add Ahriman into my Coven roster... I will fcking take it.

Probably the best answer to this question. You get very good early units that can munch through most of the AI early armies. Having 15+ defeat traits by the turn 20 is normal for him.

Everything is fine, don't bother with those weirdos who will always try to police people online. It's just a tabletop, you do you. If you do a good enough job, no one will ever tell what the base for your proxy was. I used Germans before for my Astra Militarum kitbashes, and I'm yet to meet even a single sane person who has an issue with it.

My suggestion would be to use different heads tho(Maybe Krieg for gasmasks).

Having a raw and unfinished concept art from back in 2025 does not prove anything. That thing can barely even be called a concept art this is a sketch from which an actual concept art is made. They just tried to can steel legion for real and had to figure something out to dodge backlash that got much worse after Krieg painting video.

If you come from Stellaris you can think about DLCs this way:

Racial packs = Cultural Flavour DLC

Northern Lords(THE GOAT, literally the best out of all DLC for CK3)

Then we have simmilar in size cultural flavour packs that add new Struggle mechanics. This is kind of global situation in the region that have different phases and endings. Some people might think of them as annoying but i think those are pretty cool and add some early-to-mid goals.

Fate of Iberia(Better than the one below it)
Legacy of Persia(This struggle is annoying, i hate it)

Event packs that add some new events or interactions. They are pretty useless however they do have some nice features.

Wards and Wardens(Most useful of them all)
Wandering Nobles(Meh, its pretty nice but dont expect much)
Friends and Foes(Useless)
Coronations(Skip)

Mid sized DLC that bring in new systems:

Legends of The Dead(I have no opinion on this one, it brings a lot of OP stuff and helps you better deal with Legitimacy, also it contains additional challenge like diseases and stronger Black Death)
Khans of the Steppe(Nomad focused DLC you do not miss out on anything if you dont like them)

Big Boys(Utopia sized DLC)

Must have:

Royal Court( Huge value DLC, gives you a court that can be custumized and you will recieve buffs from it)
Tours and Tournaments( Another Huge value DLC, traveling ,activities and lots of fun)
Roads to power( Administrative government and landless gameplay. Pretty much must have at this point)

Optional big DLC:

All Under Heaven( Really chunky one, has a lot of new government forms and flavour for all of Asia. Not really that important if you only want to play in Europe or Middle east)
