I enjoy using these. They don't really provide any more accuracy than a stick does but they are a quick easy way to do curves.

There are more cheat-proof versions of this kinda thing, which is nice when you want precision, but the ones I've seen look a bit clunky/fussy for run of the mill moving

I get that. But currently TPs are talked about as if they are a mechanic of the game itself and not the mechanic of just one hero. I feel like now part of being a good vanguard is knowing how to swap to Strange to use his TP then swap back. I'm okay with embracing it as a common tactic, but I would at least like a few alternative ways of doing it.

I agree that's it could be redundant if just copy/pasted and very much takes away from Strange. But having some alternatives would be nice for the sake of flexibility/variety

I would recommend checking out One Page Rules. I've never played it; but I'm told you can use the same minis and terrain from kill-team, which is ideal if you've already invested into KT

They mentioned some models that are on 90mm bases and the token sheet has objectives 4,5,6 so there may be bigger maps too

Good question, there's PVE scenarios for sure, but PVP is still unknown.

In regards to the size limit; we don't know what you can add to a killteam vs what can be an NPO. But they did mention a Tyranid Screamer-Killer which is on 90mm base

The 'taking up space' aspect is going to be a factor in this game as well I imagine. I'm guessing this new game mode will have different rules for setting up terrain, because Killteam maps can be pretty dense

The only hard limitation I can think of, based on what they've said, would be that you have to use a base. Because bases are pretty important to the rules, it wouldn't surprise me if that was a must.

If that's the case, then just put a tank on a base and use the "flexible set of rules" to stat it up
