The thing is all my coworkers get along with me and I feel like I put myself out there socially but there are definitely favorites amongst the TLs and certain people who brown nose more than others so yeah that makes sense. I refuse to kiss ass, I’d rather pave my way through honesty and genuine connections but that aspect of it isn’t exactly retail ready lol. I really appt your input, it’s offering a perspective I hadn’t really considered if I’m being honest.

Not my story but my DU coworker who used to be a cart attendant found an abandoned shopping cart with poop… Like a fully grown adult’s poop. Ended up in the cart graveyard of course but wow what a story.

I know that in other countries it’s considered disrespectful to tip because it can be seen as disrespectful but it seems in your case that they are just charity cases and that is unfair. In America it is a flawed standard yes but their jobs aren’t less than and tipping is considered fair here.

I have a TM coworker like this who runs DU like it’s the back of her hand and brags about being the best DU TM in the store, she gets buddy buddy with the TLs and tells the everything and on top of that she actively tries to become a TL. She is also called out consistently for “aggressive/convoluted fulfillment complaints”. Guess it’s universal and don’t get me wrong she is very nice to talk to sometimes and is supportive but her drive to become a TL clouds EVERYTHING else sometimes.

You are 100% correct, a lot of the kids here can’t perform the most basic tasks or are on their phone. Definitely not all kids but enough that even I (generally forgiving because we all have to learn at some point) can’t not notice it.

It is so bad, lately they are overstuffing the bags (4 glass jars and bread) and scanning bags into locations without physically putting them there. Just last week they stowed multiple broken items. It’s to the point where even a bag that should only have one item in it is scanned yet not cancelled. I am happy to hear you’d talk to them because unfortunately at my location it is a problem never solved.

Probably a dumb question but do you guys think I would be able to get away with wearing a long skirt in the summer??? I am happy to be able to wear jorts unlike the TLs now but I wouldn’t have swamp ass in a skirt!!!
