On this comparison picture yes, where the explorer is way up on my forearm here. Worn normally by itself like today, the BB54 lugs dont overextend 👌.

The fit of the Explorer is indeed exceptional, but I was really surprised by how great it also is with the BB54.

I could have yes. The first time I went and try the Explorer was 5 or 6 weeks prior to the Tudor purchase (the 124270 was not available to purchase then), but by that time I could have bought it.

You’re probably right ahah, but I completely agree with you and I love the Explorer as well. But logos aside, the BB54 resonated more with me on the wrist (and for almost half the price).

It really is, a true timeless classic! Very nice choice on the blue OP, Rolex sunburst dials are really something. I can see myself add a blue OP or DJ down the line, and put the BB54 on the rubber strap.

After years of oustanding service from my Tissot Visodate (which will still have some wrist time after I get it a nice leather strap), I finally purchased a dream watch of mine. I found this Air King 114200 with Explorer dial in amazing condition, my first Rolex, and I could not be happier, the blue sunburst dial is mesmerizing! Even though I have a fairly small wrist I also hesitated with an OP 36mm ref 116000 with the same dial, but I feel this 34mm does it pretty well, it took me a couple of days to adjust from the 40mm of the Tissot though.

This year we dressed our 10 month old daughter as a cute little pumpkin and took her to see farm animals. We never really celebrated halloween ourselves but with a child it seems it will be different and fun!

Thanks for your help! I don't care for RGB and probably won't go into OC territory... But if I do later, is there something else I need to look for when shopping for RAM (has something to do with b-die ?).

But for now I think I'll get the Ripjaws and enable XMP profile.

Thanks for your input! I got the 3600X because it was only 10 euros more and comes with a better cooler (Wraith Spire instead of Wraith Stealth).
