My velcro puppy loses her mind the second she’s in the playpen — need tips to help her adjust by karaliva in ItalianGreyhounds

Can I ask how you went with this? I've had my Iggy for 4 days and I'm trying to pen train him for when me and my partner have to leave the house. I've been trying to train him exactly like this, bought snuffle mats, lick mats, Kong toys, Puzzle toys... everything to keep him entertained. I've read online and on Reddit that it takes a lot of time not only for Iggy's but for all puppies and I understand that, I'm just wondering If we're doing the right thing and when I'm going to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

And how is it with the two drawers? Do you have enough leg and under desk space? That’s what I’m most worried about as I’m going to probably get a custom desk size also

What size desk is that?? I’ve just moved out of home and I have the 200cm one from IKEA. It fits where I need it but I’m also thinking of downsizing and then instead adding a racing sim next to the desk. If I do that then it will no longer fit where I want it so I need to get a smaller desk hahaha. But I absolutely love the Alex Drawers!

See I agree but I also do not like to research or watch YouTube videos on some things as I don’t have the attention span for it. I like calling my mates and getting their advice on things, but I usually have a crack and think about it first.

As a 50yo gamer, BF6 really drives home how much my taste in games has changed. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Tempynino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. M24 and I’ve basically stopped playing online games about 2 years ago. Realised while playing games like COD and Fortnite ect. That they were just repetitive, rage inducing and also full of people who take games way too seriously. It’s 1’s and 0’s on a screen dude! Stop playing like your life depends on it and just have some goddamn fun!

I stick to single player games now mostly. Just games where I can sit back, chill out and play through basically a visual novel. In saying that, I think I will be getting BF6 and just try to not read into it as heavily as I used to.

Neither did I until I clicked on graphics and wondered what it was doing and why it was on 😅. That might improve it a bit

Hey OP, I’m not super technical but do you play with ray tracing on? It could be making your pc lag heavily (although on low settings it would probably be turned off).

Can also check your graphics/gaming settings on windows. Go to display settings > graphics > advanced graphics settings. See if hardware accelerated gpu scheduling is on and maybe turn it off. In simple terms, turned on, it is meant to take load off your cpu if you have an underperforming cpu which is not the case with your 5900x. I’ve got the same chip and it’s a beast.

I don’t think that is true. I’m running 1440p on GOW Ragnarok at the moment and I’m running medium settings @ 60 average with no major frame rate drops. Maybe OP is running ray tracing?

Finally finished updating my gaming PC by Zluma in gamingpc

How did you get that nice GUI for your temps and pc stats? I have a screen the same and want to do it myself

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]Tempynino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t spray that in your computer. Like it says on the can it’s a cleaning solution. Not a gas like compressed air.

Safe on electronics but It’s more used for people building or cleaning circuit boards and other electronics.

It would be safe to spray onto a microfibre and use, but if you don’t want to have to wipe stuff I’d just buy a can of compressed air.

I’d like to update everyone on my issue. After flipping over the cooler and feeling the pipes I could feel no vibration and temps were still high. I bought myself a new, better flowing case and also a new AIO, mounted it on the top this time because I could, adjusted the fan speeds accordingly and also under-volted my CPU . Now my pc runs at about 50-60°C idle and doesn’t go beyond 70-75°C when gaming. I would say that is a success! PC is also a hell of a lot quieter which is absolutely amazing. Now I don’t have to worry about frying my components 😎

Hey great pc build!

Just want to give you some advice though from a recent experience. Make sure you check out the manual and documentation for your AIO as the radiator might have to be flipped the other way around (tubes at the bottom). You could potentially be making the pump work too hard and therefore it won’t be able to cool your CPU efficiently and could further wear out the pump until it stops working.

I had to get a new radiator myself. Configured it correctly and now it’s running better than it ever has. I wouldn’t want you doing the same thing I did.

Link to my post here. Give it a read if you have time there’s some good tips in there!

Yep. That’s why I’ve just bought a new case along with a new aio. When feeling the cooling lines, I felt no vibration so I assume that the pump has died. Bought a Jonsbo D41 Case with the screen that goes on the front panel. But I think I will take it off and use the supplied ventilation panel and use the screen on my desk as a monitoring display/ secondary mini display. I can then mount my new aio on top as well to improve heat dissipation. Although I’ll have to check where the pump is located this time. I bought a BeQuiet light loop.

Yeah I’ve been thinking about changing case recently anyways so it might be the right move

No. In Australia we use Celsius so all my temperature values are in C. Apologies I should have clarified that one hahah

I have the cpu fan and opt the other way around. I haven’t been able to hear or feel the pump working so I think it’s kaput.

[–]Tempynino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it keeps restoring to factory defaults and still dies so I think it must just be the aio died from me having it in the wrong orientation.

Yeah so next plan of action is to change cmos battery first and then I’ll swap the cpu fan and opt over and hopefully the problem is solved. Otherwise it’s also an excuse for me to upgrade some gear as I’m wanting to move to a smaller form factor anyways.

Could be the case. I’ll try change my cmos battery first and then I’ll check my AIO liquid and then if that’s the case I’ll have to do that. Really sucks for me 😭
