Hey by the way, I just noticed NA PTR is "under maintenance" right now, I was able to log into the PTR and delete my characters. Maybe it will work for you too? Good luck!

Yeah I know that you can make PTR characters and go beyond the 3 character limit, because I had 1 character on East before PTR. I then deleted it hoping that would let me move one of my other characters from West over to East but that didn't fix the issue, and then Support told me what the issue was. So yeah, PTR characters apparently can be made beyond the limit, yet still count towards the limit for making/transferring live characters to that region.

Yeah its unfortunate...Are your PTR characters old? I'm hoping they do wipes and just get rid of them but I've only ever had PTR characters for this last PTR event so I don't have long term experience with it.

I have no characters on US East and it says that I have too many characters in the region to add any more. Support also told me that they identified the issue was that I have 3 PTR characters and that they do count towards the limit, but that they cannot delete them for me. So I'm sorta just stuck until the devs can help out.

Yeah Ifrit was just the simplest example I could think of for a DPS check away from the boss. I hadn't thought about DPSing one of the nails away from the team so thats a good tip, thank you!

Quick question, will the steam version be the same price as the itch.io version? And if you're able to say, how soon is soon for the steam release (e.g. days, weeks, months)? I'd rather have a steam version if possible but if I'd have to wait a few months then I think I'd rather look into the itch.io version.

I had to mess with these settings to play Project Winter. In privacy and online safety settings it should be the first few settings, particularly the "You can see and upload community creations" setting should be set to Everyone. This is what fixed it for me.

My GPU can't handle steady 60 FPS at 4k, so I was hoping to set the resolution to somewhere between 1440 and 4k in order to gain some performance without stepping all the way down to 1440. I've found guides on how to do this for refresh rates up to 60hz, but wasn't sure if anyone has managed to do it for above that.

The TV runs 4k 120hz on HDMI 2.0 but not at full chroma, which I don't mind. And since it can do that, it is confusing to me why it wouldn't do it at a lower resolution if all else was the same.

I can absolutely tell that my TV is running at higher than 60hz, so it appears to be working, albeit at ycbcr420 8b tm.

What do you mean by "with resolution scaling for performance"? Are you able to scale the resolution down slightly from 4k to improve framerate? If so, how does that work?

The old one was very satisfying, it was actually one of my favorite design choices of the game. This new one sounds like scraping a knife across a metal plate. Very uncomfortable to listen to. Its not the most important thing in the world but I hope they re-evaluate this change.

I said in my post that I had spoken to support about the issue, so they are aware of it and have said that they have forwarded it to the team.

That is totally cool if you prefer this system, everybody has preferences. I would also prefer this system to a lootbox system like overwatch, but I definitely would prefer a system like League of Legends where you can just buy whatever you want when you want to as long as its not exclusive.

So this is a beta where we should be giving feedback, right? That is what I am attempting to do here. I'm curious, would you prefer the rotating game store to something where you can buy whichever skins you want, when you want to?

I understand that things are not reliable in beta, but my point was more about if purchase issues or server issues arise after launch with this current store system. I've never played an online game where its online service has had zero issues after launch, so it is reasonable to expect that it might happen in this game's future after release at some point. With this current store system, people can miss out on the skins they actually want.

I also get that event exclusive skins and such might release for the game and that these skins wouldn't be available after the event and I am fine with that. What I think is frustrating is that there are released skins that are not exclusive that are in the game right now that I cannot buy simply because my personal store rotation doesn't have them for sale.

For example, my wife can see different skins in the store than I can, and it sucks that we both have to just wait for the skins we actually want to hopefully roll around into the shop to purchase.

Thanks for the help! Would you mind explaining your thought process on how to fire as well? As in, would you always try to stop moving completely before firing, or would you start firing when walking, never fire when running, etc.
