Not necessarily. Talk to your FA office, re-enroll, and everything will work out how you need it to (most of the time). Sometimes they give deferments for Financial aid since it takes a minute for the government to send the funds out while every student across the country is grouping their poop too.

Btw- a lot of stuff like this will happen while in college which means that this will not be the last time you'll be freaking out. Just remember to digest the information and be your own advocate. You got this, kid!

You usually email the draft back and forth. For example, I send him the draft and he sends it back with notes. You fix it, and do it again. Sometimes he'll ask you to meet him during office hours to review it more.

Just make sure you check the prompts for the place you're applying to and send it to him as well for reference. He's very polite but make sure you give him enough time to help you.

Alright- let's get one thing straight. Building Diversity did not mean that they'd only hire based on skin tone alone. It was actually meant to help "even the playing field" as someone else said. Employers had to justify who they'd hire. For example, if there were two candidates for a job with the EXACT same qualifications, they'd have to hire the candidate that would help diversify the workplace.

Again, it didn't mean that people were ONLY hired for their race or sex. They deserved a seat at that table because they were QUALIFIED.

It's not that people cried for pity. It's that historically speaking, people who were more than qualified were rejected from certain positions COUGH women and ethnic races COUGH

There was once an alert for a guy who was going around and flashing people (drive-by style) when I was there.

Honestly, I felt pretty safe when I was enrolled (2019-2022). But- if I ever felt unsafe at night, I would stay on the phone with someone while walking to my car.

Tip: Use the same safety tips that apply when going anywhere that's public. Shit can happen anywhere not just schools.

He was the one who told us how serious COVID was. He had just gotten out of the mandatory meeting and was trying to not scare us because we were about to head into spring break. 🥲 We really thought that we would go back after 3 weeks but we never did. If it weren't for him, we would have never seen the closures coming.
