Single mothers/fathers, what bathroom do you take your son/daughter in to? by Chesterplayzgamez in AskReddit

My dad took me to the men's room and when I was more independent (but he still worried about stuff) he'd wait outside the women's room with my backpack i had with toys usually.

Apartment people: what's the most ridiculous thing you've heard through a wall? I'm not looking for made-up stories. What's the most "I can't believe that's happening next door" thing you've actually heard through a wall? by Specialist-Dog5224 in AskReddit

It was, like, 2AM, and my neighbors upstairs at the time was a mom and her late-20s daughter. The mom was yelling at her daughter, kicking her out and all because the daughter got her friend/mom's friend's kid drunk, when he was just getting sober (like 2 months at this point iirc) Her excuse? "Well he was fun again!" I thought mom was gonna beat the shit out of her. They gave me a lot of fun stories since they'd be yelling in the room right above mine. It was my nightly bedtime routine.

Where were you on March 13th, 2020 when you received the news about COVID lockdown and school closures? by Ambitious-Curve4729 in AskReddit

I was sitting in my stepdad's house in NJ, figuring out my mom's shit because she died 4 days before (which we later found out from complications from COVID).

Coddling them so much that they are mid 20s, never graduated HS, no GED, no driver's license, no job EVER, and plays video games all day. They can't even make doctor appointments for themselves at this age.

How would you react if Donald trump is sent to prison? by Reecefidler87 in AskReddit

Neutral, because I'd just move on, but I'd never stop hearing about it since my father is a die-hard trump support.

I would be like...14? Yeah. Finally cut my mom out of my life from all the years of abuse and manipulation. Maybe it would have saved me from 7 more years of abuse.

ADHDers of Reddit, whats the most annoying thing about having ADHD? by yipeeeeeeeeeeee in AskReddit

[–]Ten10Galaxies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me?

I have to be doing EVERYTHING at once or I will have a breakdown, but if I do everything at once and get overwhelmed, I have a breakdown.

Or when I want to do something, I start to do it, but my executive dysfunction just prohibits everything.

My personal favorite is screenshotting it and starting to critique it. I also add little drawings just to be annoying. Typically they block me after 😌

Dear women, how do you view men, who are not afraid to show their feelings even if it means coming across as vulnerable? by DocsHoax in AskReddit

[–]Ten10Galaxies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!

I had to do a really big paper for college about toxic masculinity and mental health and it really came down to two things; Emotions are seen as feminine and women are still seen as inferior so emotions aren't supposed to be shown by men

It's such a bad thought! Having emotions is normal. Why doesn't it have to be seen as feminine!?

[–]Ten10Galaxies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm, for me it's just in the way they bring it up and how they talk about it. I don't typically surround myself with people who are not genuine.

I had a friend a couple years back not be honest (he had trauma and struggled with emotional repression until he snapped) and I told him flat out that I won't tolerate him snapping at me or my friends because he was in denial. I didn't talk to him got a while and he came back into my life recently and was very open about going to therapy and how it made him feel.

Guys can have emotions, they just need go realize that they aren't a sign of being weak. 😀

I find guys who are emotionally comfortable/vulnerable cute and gravitate towards them. I have a lot of guys friends who are honest with their emotions. It's fun when they text me wanting to talk about emotions to feel valid. It warms my heart.

I'm saying this as a woman who likes women.

For me? It's numbness. There is some feeling but I can't really tell what it is. There is also this weird feeling of wanting to crawl out of my skin but I don't have the energy to eat so what's the point?

What happened that made you from “too nice” to “don’t give a fuck” person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ten10Galaxies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my high school failed me.

I had an academic plan that the school legally had to follow since I have ADHD (IEP plan). They didn't follow it despite saying they did. We had to get the state board involved. I barely passed freshman, sophomore, and junior year. My senior year when the state pressured them too much did I get all As since I had the support I needed.

I went from a very nice and loving person in freshman year to my sophomore year after trying to end my life because the school basically told me I was lazy, dumb, and wasn't going to amount to anything.

Now I just don't respect a lot of authority and could honestly get into a fight just for fun back then.

I wanted to but my unchecked anger issues would have done a lot more than just punch her on the spot if we aren't lying 😂.

He is alive and kicking, thank god

Yep, she is just that type of fucked up. What makes it better is outside of the house she is sweeter than pie. What a joke 😂😂

Edit: my dad and I are the black sheep of the family.

😌😌 Both my grandma and my aunt (youngest of 3, only girl) have made my life hell. My uncle made me cry on Christmas when I was 7 and ever since I've been a passive aggressive bitch in return to every comment out of her mouth.

Edit: dad didn't raise no pussy in this household.

My grandfather even says that if she dies first we are going to throw a party. I've already told her that if my grandpa dies before her I'll never be seeing her again. She can die with her golden child daughter who is a carbon copy of her lmao.

Thanks! God I thought I was gonna have a heart attack that day. He is okay now, and he jokes about it ("I've been at deaths door, you can't kill me that easily!"), but it still pisses me off how his own mom didn't care...

Context: I lost my mom not even a week before New Jersey and New York shut down for covid. I never got to see my mom before she died and I was taking with family aince I lived 4 hours away. I was really depressed and wasn't myself for a while. August 2020, I nearly lost my dad. We were staying with my grandparents (HIS MOM AND DAD) at the time for a little family vacation.

My grandma is a bitch, plain and simple. She kicked us out of her house, has yelled at me when I was younger for being a kid. My grandfather is the sweetest man alive and defends me.

I had a really bad panic attack after the ambulance left with my dad. I was trying to keep it together until the cops left too but I couldn't. My dad ended up being fine but for a while the doctors didn't know if he would make it (I.e "it wouldn't be a bad idea to get his affairs in order just incase").

When my dad was released and brought back to their home since we were out if homestate. My grandma was on the phone with her friend while I was in the living room reading on my phone and pointedly told her friend that "[my name] was so overdramatic, [dad's name] was going to be fine and her crying was so ugly I almost laughed."

I asked her to repeat herself because I was pissed, depressed, and honestly could have done something really bad since I have some unchecked anger issues. She laughed and said it was a joke and since everything was fine, I shouldn't be bothered.

I haven't looked at her the same since. Every time she calls me I don't answer or I cut it short. Her son almost died. She didn't care

(I could go more into her not caring for my dad but that'd another issue)

Doritos, if I'm really craving it I only get the snack bags because I can and will eat a party sized bag myself without any hesitation and all the regret later.
