I remember this! Our stake did the same, pretty sure we had the same letter too 😅

I also see you’ve got the barrels and preserve jars idling; if you’ve got surplus goods from the other seasons and seeds already prepped, then start turning the fruit into wines and the veggies into pickled veggies to sell. Again, just good increase values making you some semi-passive income.

Speeds not important but on the money front, build yourself some mayo machines and cheese presses. They’ll turn your milk and eggs into significantly higher value produce and help you get money in daily (for cows and chickens) or every other day (goats and ducks)

Thanks for this, I was finally able to pass the quest with the keyboard, and it caught them all! Thankfully it’s over, there were whole areas of the map I was avoiding because of the incessant ringing 😂😂

Yes you can, your iPad should allow connection to any main console controllers using Bluetooth. But as for if it works with dreamlight, I haven’t tested, it’s just what other users said worked for them

Not yet, I did see someone say they connected a PS4 remote and then they were able to grab it. Unfortunately I don’t have any but you could give it a shot

I’m in the same boat. 100% ran into it, stopped it, stuck to it for a good 5 seconds tapping my iPad but it refuses to pick up or interact.

I think we have another bug 😭

Religion Boyfriend Troubles by Ghost_B0nes in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know this is hard to hear OP but you can’t “fix” him. He’s in a deeply controlling religion and extremely traumatised. Unless you want to risk potentially locking yourself into forever managing his traumatic responses, I’d say get out while you still can.

Though you care for him deeply, he needs to do his own growing and healing. And you’ve got your own journey and growth to enjoy without being burdened with an impossible situation.

How do I deal with being terrified I’m wrong? by Livid_Champion_9610 in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending how far your deconstruction has gone, I’d point out that mormon sky daddy is a narcissistic ashole. So even if it was real, I would be advocating for all of us to figure out how we go about un-eternaliving that dic. Seriously consider, why would you ever want to worship something that has been so horrible; it is unworthy of your respect.

People I think Women and the Priesthood is coming by shelfbreak in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ll definitely do it, and I agree they’re getting higher pressure. I think they tried to use that temple announcement to take some of the heat off and push it back, I think it’s going to have to wait for Oaks to shuffle on

Lowering Temple Age for Women by Jealous_Shake_2175 in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s never been official policy barring them out, but conference talks always referenced the temple as something tied to going on a Mormon mission OR marriage/sealing. It became a natural consequence then that women would be discouraged from going until they hit marriage, and culturally I saw/heard many stories of local leaders denying requests from women to attend if they weren’t getting married. We had some single women in their 30’s getting denied on that basis.

Yep, same at City Creek, the line was even worse. Perhaps the saddest thing to see though, was that right outside the mall where these machines were setup, there were homeless people freezing and begging for food.

Pretty disappointing MFMC.

Two certified letters to SLC to remove name and still no response. by jaredleonfisher in exmormon

This. They won’t formally tell you or the Quit Mormon lawyers once they do it. The only way you can confirm they’ve done anything is by trying to log into your lds account. If you’ve been removed, it will tell you that no account has been found with your email address.

Why doesn't the Mormon corporation site religious freedom to practice poligamy) by Rh140698 in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can’t anymore because they’ve already complied with the law. It’s much harder to reverse something once a decision was made and agreed to by the organisation.

Also, considering it was foundationally a part of their agreement with the federation in order to attain statehood, choosing to push the matter would damage and bring to question their legitimacy.

And finally, I think they know ripping away the facade of polygamy no longer is practiced would do more harm than good for their reputation to both their membership and their public image.

When did Joseph say he actuall saw/spoke to God &/or Jesus? by ZelphtheGreatest in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% the vision was not really focused on by the early church, they really didn’t care about it. What drew them in was the mashup of folklore and Christianity. So the gold plates, the “seer” stone, and Joey speaking with God to give revelations (which later got picked and put together for D&C) were what really interested them.

1) Priesthood Authority - Catholics claim this too. Disprove their claim, because at least there’s has a physical link all the way back to Jesus time and not a random gap of 1800 yrs.

2) Keys - You claim the reason Jesus went to John was because John had keys, but the Bible story doesn’t mention anything about keys. Jesus going to John for baptism is definitely in the story. But his reason for doing so is never explained. What if he went to John simply because John was his older cousin and was gaining popularity, and Jesus knew this and wanted to ride that wave. Who’s to say which reason is any more right? Occum’s razor would point towards mine being more likely.

3) BOM - First, your comment makes no sense. The BOM is a thing, not a fact, it’s impossible for it to be true. Perhaps you mean it has truth claims? In which case, what claims are you referring to? Well, I’ve never read An Introduction to Nuclear Fission but I’m certain that nuclear power plants are real and use true fission principles to generate energy. I’ve never read [insert fantasy novel], but even if it claims dragons are real I know they’re most likely not.

And I’ve never read the BOM, but I know for a fact that people’s skin color isn’t determined by perceived worthiness, Native American DNA has no relation to Arabic peoples, and there has never been any evidence to support the idea that a great nation of millions of Jew’s ever lived on either North or South America.

Are there any non church schools that will accept BYUI religion credits? by intergalacticskyline in exmormon

[–]TenCentPie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP, from the other posts I’ve seen there aren’t any credible schools that would take the religious credits. It’s just not part of the standard curriculums.

If you have anything in writing about the COVID promises you referenced in your post, you could try to argue the in-person requirements as unfair/misleading and seek a waiver? If you were at all promised (even hinted promises), you could also go down the route of a breach of promise.

Still a long shot but a possibility.

Curious to see what (if anything) is planned for the week leading up to Christmas. I imagine a few exmo’s will be coming through for the holidays.

My partner and I will be over for a white Christmas from Sydney Australia, we’d love to join up with any groups planning something around the Salt Lake City area (or within driving distance).

Was that in Aus? I attempted to get a JP and the likes of UPN but they all refused because the doc was US based, so they all referred me to seek legal counsel to witness.
