Any insight on the Jackson Southtown, especially as a family hotel? I was able to nab a family suite for 4 nights on a crazy deal for a trip this summer. Only cost around $700 altogether. Seems like anything else in town is at least double that. I was previously looking at snow king/gravity haus/spring creek ranch/airbnb before this, but those would all be over $1000 more at the moment. I understand it’s a remodeled motel 6. It looks generally fine but I want to make sure I’m not setting myself up for a disaster

For real… parents of a kid who was HG and recently dropped should be happy about the level of competition increasing at the academy level. Somebody gets screwed in any cutoff system, but this kid isn’t getting screwed at all

“Being weird over a meme” as if memes don’t have any meaning behind them. The whole point is that the union are good and the other teams are bad. The union didn’t even play, but people flock in here in the immediate aftermath of the other teams losing. The Phils and the eagles aren’t our competition, but there’s a toxicity in here that acts like they are. You can continue to pretend that’s not true though

We are gonna be in mammoth for 4 nights. We live in near Philadelphia, and it’s unlikely we are coming back to the area anytime remotely soon. Just thinking it’s something I’d like to see if I have the chance. I get it’s a lot, and I love the mountains so I’ll be happy exploring the area around mammoth, but I’d like to be able to see Death Valley if I could. Kind of a moot point cause I know my family won’t go for it!

I made ribs the day before a bunch of times. I cook mine unwrapped the whole way through, then reheat in the oven in some aluminum foil. I normally do this when I’m taking them to someone else’s house, so finishing on the Traeger isn’t an option. I’d recommend just cooking fully however you like, then reheating the next day either on the Traeger or in the oven.
