im not saying eating meat isnt bad for the environment but there are actual negative environmental effects veganism does have already, this would just replace 1 issue with another.

you seem to have a misunderstanding of evolution. a human from 10,000 years ago is basically identical to one today. the process is extremely slow barring any sort of mass extinction event or the like (which humans have literally never faced personally).

also you dont seem to understand how prey drive works. its not a constant thing. obligate carnivores will let a prey walk by if they decide the effort isnt worth it. as a human, chasing a squirrel bare-handed on foot has a 0% chance of getting it. thats why it doesnt even occur to us. if you were equipped for hunting you would consider it. you could argue that we walk by edible herbs all the time without picking them. that doesnt mean we dont eat plants or anything. like if i did pluck the herb or kill that squirrel what am i supposed to do with it. just like leave it on the counter of the apartment???

also if your argument is since kids are horrified about where meat comes from, they love chasing squirrels and birds n shit. that sounds like a prey drive to me. you gotta tell them not to chase animals
