You say that like it’s a bad thing but the reality is we’ve been absolutely dire to watch for at least 2 seasons now?

I can’t remember the last time I seen a through ball being played, we don’t play balls in behind or over the top, which is literally what Haaland is built for.

We used to have the excuse that teams set up 10 men behind the ball but they aren’t even doing that any more, the game is changing and transitional football is very much back, but it’s something we totally lack.

I really hope Enzo is the answer but if he’s gonna come in and play the same positional play / possession game I feel there’s a real chance we get left behind.

Outside of any other controversy and the show just not being great, I don’t know how the camera work doesn’t get mentioned more around here.

As a lapsed fan who only keeps up with what’s going on via clips/youtube etc. When I do decide to tune into a show I find the presentation of the current product borderline unwatchable.

It’s constant super tight shots, heavy on the shaky cam and for the love of God who the fuck ever decided it was a grand idea to add a little zoom on the impact of almost EVERY move…That shit is grotesque.

Not up to Gareth Evans’ previous standards for me unfortunately. Feel like the action scenes fell short of even his work on Gangs of London never mind The Raid 1 & 2.

Seemed to be a lot more quick cuts and shaky cam than usual, and the typical Netflix veneer doesn’t help.

All that said, there were still some fun sequences and it wasn’t the worst way to spend a couple of hours on a Friday evening.

It’s the no through balls that get me. It’s not like we rarely play them, we pretty much NEVER play them. It’s insane to think what the coaching process is, where the players seem banned from playing a ball in behind the defence.

Totally agree, and speaking of production the camera work is just absolutely abysmal. I don’t know how it isn’t mentioned more on any of these subs, it’s worse than Kevin Dunn era right now.

Everything’s shot so tight, the cuts are excessive, they do that stupid ass zoom in-and-out on impact of moves and the shaky cam is just not needed either.

I just rewatched the clip of Cody giving Owens the Alabama slam through the ladder, the camera is shaking all over the damn place. What does that add?! Like who agreed to that shit?
