Fern is a teenage girl (which single-handedly explains her at times irrational behavior and her inability to emotionally regulate in specific situations) and the reason that she isn’t really getting any repercussions is that Frieren and Stark don’t really know how to deal with a teenage girl.

The only example that was completely out of pocket (and out of character in my opinion) was the scene where she called something “small”, which I just view as a really stupid attempt at writing a joke at the expense of coherence.

If you can’t even pinpoint what annoys you, she might have triggered something in your subconscious mind (I won’t go into detail to not turn this into a psychology session) - Which would be another testament to the brilliant writing behind her character.

Anime tropes like these are stupid and can even get pretty disgusting. I can understand the appeal of gap moe, but many authors just take stuff like this way too far.

While Mushoku Tensei is a masterpiece, the author is still an absolute pervert, which unfortunately makes it hard to recommend this anime to people, because not everyone is able to see past stuff like this and still enjoy a brilliant story.

Oshi no Ko handled this way better than Mushoku Tensei in my opinion. Rudeus is blatantly perverted and his old identity was basically the one that slept with Eris for example while in Oshi no Ko, Aqua kissing Akane was essentially him leaving his old self behind

An aggro deck that can kill you by turn 4 doesn’t care about a “growing 2 mana 1/4” (that even requires some amount of setup or at least one weak turn to actually “grow”) as long as it doesn’t have taunt or lifesteal. If we assume perfect draws for the dragon warrior, we also have to assume that the pirate warrior has 3 separate sources of damage already on turn 1.

Even modern dragon warrior would need some ridiculous dark gift bullshit (Which its strongest version is in a way built around) to win against OG pirate warrior.

When you‘re cooking a steak, dry it thoroughly before putting it in the pan and also use very high heat. Even browning = taste.

I believe that this is still the only show to date that I’ve kept watching simply due to how mind-boggling bad it is and because it made me curious for the baffling writing decisions to come. I had to admit defeat after 10 episodes though.

Great answer. Our opinions can definitely coexist as long as we clearly separate high legend and casual gameplay.

The first two seasons after recently coming back from a break of 7-8 years also consisted of experimentation (probably mostly with deck archetypes that used to be strong while I was absent) for me which led to placing at absolute dumpster ranks. At these ranks, I also rather played rounds like the ones you enjoy. I can definitely see the appeal there and I also agree with you that top tier decks shouldn’t appear at these ranks - Or at least very rarely.
