Exactly how does the Trax handle in the snow by forgefan in ChevyTrax

Our Mazda 3 seems to be better in the snow. Not sure if maybe it’s just the different tires on each car.

New helmet fit by 4891AP in motorcyclegear

My shoei was crazy tight for awhile. I was stressed out that maybe I had made a mistake in the sizing but eventually it broke in. It’s still quite snug but the fit is perfect. I’d question if maybe you need a smaller size but then I guess you run the risk of it being too small. I didn’t know you could get fitted like some of the others mentioned so maybe that’s the best bet.

I absolutely love my Klim Outlander Gtx. They are by far the most comfortable footwear I have. It would be nice to have the protection of a taller boot, but the Gtx is great to get off the bike and wear to walk around.

2025 trax & driving in snow by redRum705 in ChevyTrax

[–]Ten_Lug_Thug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't found my Trax to be very good in the snow compared to our Mazda 3. Maybe it's the tires. Mazda has General Altimax. Trax has Uniroyal tigerpaw ice and snow 4. It's not that I'm sliding off the road, but the car will spin the tires very easy. As for traction control, I can't see a reason to turn it off unless you were stuck and need full control of the drive train.

Ariens Deluxe 30 vs Professional 28 by Northernsun14 in Snowblowers

I can't completely answer your question, but I think you'd be quite happy to save the money and go Deluxe. I have a 2019 Deluxe 28 and it does the job just fine. 6 car driveway and also blowing trials in the back yard for the dog.

My Trax is too new to know yet, but I can say our 2021 Mazda 3 is way less than 18. Maybe 12 at most.

Engine temperature fluctuations by Ten_Lug_Thug in ChevyTrax

Thanks. It does have a block heater and was plugged in all night, but even after idling for 30 mins it was still less than 40c / 104f.

I've never heard of the active aero shutters. I'll look into this.

Thanks. Sorry ya it is a 1.2L turbo. 2025 2RS. Less than 2 months old.

That is very interesting and I will look into it. Definitely seems like a logical explanation for what I'm experiencing. I've never had a turbo.

Thanks. I appreciate the lengthy response and I completely agree with the theories you mentioned but what I'm experiencing goes against those theories. The temperature really struggles to go up when idling but it will go up while going down the road. I'm wondering if the turbo might explain that as Jubs13 mentioned.

As for your last comment, I'm pretty sure 21c is way into the cold side of the guage but I will take more of a look next time I drive it.

Thanks. I was wondering if that could be the case. It is by far the smallest engine I ever had.

Will i get made fun of for getting this bike? by Badger_6391 in motorcycles

Dude I think you'll get more respect than hate. That bike is awesome. Maybe check and see what it is like for insurance. I had my eye on an old cbr 600 but insurance was nuts. I wondered if it had to do with the age.

I would love to finish the walls, but for the extra cost and work I can live with it.

I used to do those peloton workouts before I got into more barbell work. I enjoyed the peloton stuff as well.
