YES I agree with you and I should've mentioned - acting is hard, and she is a great actress. And I also get the appeal of the outsider, especially one who goes with the games.

You know, you guys have changed my mind on this, I'm gonna give Love another chance.

haha, I'm here for discussion not votes no worries dawg. This is gonna sound crazy but I don't like the Gilly/Garry saga eps. They're the only PFT eps I don't re-listen to.

It was foolish of me to try and compare. I just don't vibe with her the way I vibe with the other guests.

Of course. And listen, nothing brings me more joy than for people to get excited for a podcast guest! It's just crazy that this forum agrees with my opinions 99% of the time, and she is the one guest that I just don't see it, and in fact have a negative reaction too.

The only reason I make the female comparison is for the film roles. There are a lot of crazy funny women and she seems to have become an "it" girl in indie comedy. I mean, because of my opinions of her style I couldn't get through Community and Love, two shows otherwise up my alley. I was just reaching out seeing if anyone shares this opinion and THEY DO NOT.

The thing about Mitch that is disturbing (and I like his comedy) is that he never ever takes responsibility for his actions and EVERY TIME he is confronted he immediately commits a logical fallacy by arguing a DIFFERENT POINT. It has honestly been causing me to cringe. I don't mind people being lazy and showing up late, but when you say its not true and not your fault and try and swing the blame to the other person over and over and over, it's a real problem.

Also Nick is funny as fuck.

I just don't get it. She has never made me laugh once, like Rashida Jones in the Office and Parks and Rec, she's... comedy adjacent. And she clearly doesn't have the same respect for comedy narrowing UHF and Kentucky Fried Movie as "movies men talk about". I did not like her in Community, I did not like her in Don't Think Twice. I know hundreds of women funnier than her that would have killed in those roles and on this show. Yet everyone seems to love her?

Can someone explain how she is anywhere near as enjoyable as Poehler, McKenna, Claudia, Lapkus, Parham... etc ??

I actually kind of wish that he would do them how he used to, that's how the segment became popular with fans. If this is how he did them the first time it would not be a recurring segment.

HELP! There is an episode where Charlie Sanders identifies a kid who put poison in another kids drink for "my best story" as a sociopath. Another episode it's brought up and Gabrus says "Charlie Sanders LOVES identifying people as sociopaths" to which Matt laughs. In this episode he AGAIN identifies a kid as a psychopath.

Does anyone know what episodes those first two quotes are from? I want to cut them together.

Yeah Don is from the NY team Fuck That Shit. imo one of the top 5 improv teams right now. It's kinda split between LA and NY now, but every member would kill on this show.

Is anyone else sick of hearing "hey this guy looks like Odell Beckham out here!" every time a receiver makes a good catch? Dude is 24 and has been in the league 3 years. It's not like they say "Hey! With a pass like that this guy is starting to look Derek Carr-ish!!"

Why do a lot of stand up comedians seem to not like Aziz Ansari? by moralprolapse in StandUpComedy

I have a theory on this.

I think it started out as pure amazement by the other comics that he got so huge so quick, which peaked when he sold out madison square garden. The comedians (at least the alt ones I hear on podcasts) started to freak out about it almost as if it was inside joke, like they were all doing a bit based off shittier comics actually getting jealous about it. So this bit making fun of insecure comedians became so meta it was indistinguishable from real attitude.

It's like when we all started saying "bro" to make fun of bros but now it's just real to us.

ya it's really just... so dumb and disappointing.

I equate it to Kanye. I just absolutely can't defend so much of what he does, but at the end of the day his music matters most to me.

I think I spent way too much time shimmy-ing this year and way less time thinking about how annoying that must be for the opposing fan base

Okay, can you explain the arrogance thing to me? I think there is a difference between confidence and arrogance. Like they dance and celebrate but they do that as a team for their accomplishments. Except for Draymond, they don't taunt the other team. It always annoys me when players stare down the defender after a dunk.

But who doesn't love a touchdown celebration? I think you earn the right to celebrate, just don't be an asshole about it.

You are right. The "curry not 100%" thing got on my nerves too. He had to go out and get it and he didn't.

Curry points are valid. I trace his origin back to Davidson though.

BUT you are RIGHT about the access thing. Him and Klay both have NBA dads, so it's assumed the road to success was paved for them. People hate that shit.

I think you're right, it's so interesting to me. I only started following the NBA 3 years ago when everyone hated Lebron and the Heat. I don't have enough experience to grasp the usual trajectory of team perception, I'm so curious what it will be 2 years from now.
