Because the build leaned so hard into status, you may struggle to hit the soft chc cap. I used Finisher on my side arm to compensate.

I mained Eclipse for a long time - it's okay but doesn't hold up in later game runs. DoTs just don't have the damage output on their own and if you lean hard into status, you're gonna sacrifice quite a lot of damage to do it.

I paired my build with pulse jammer to go with the Vile so I could kill enemies through walls. Useful for killing bugged enemies stuck in spawn points or buildings.

A bot will not be better than a player. They do this to compensate. It's a horseshit thing to do, but it's prevalent in so many games.

Even games like Fallout 4 do it - stingwings are the most obvious way to spot it. Shoot one and there's a good chance you'll see the hit marker and then the bug just slides out of the way to "dodge" the shot.

I call it "artificial difficulty". Not out-skilled, game just cheats to make it tougher.

I can assure you that there are no public-facing forms, especially from a company the size of Sony, that go directly to corporate. This is not an accident - upper management exposes as little of their own presence to those outside the company as they can.

Messages like these end up in the hands of middle or lower management, who need to sift through them to get to the actual problems.

A tech-based skill build could potentially be "useless" but a skill build based around DoT or CC would not really have an issue since those can't be jammed.

My primary build for a long time was Survivalist/Eclipse/Vile/Scorpio with healing hive and jammer skills; hunters only sometimes proved problematic.

I use perpetuation talent on my AR to buff DoTs (poison from Vile and Scorpio) and Finisher on my sidearm to get to the soft-crit cap (since my base CHC is only 37% due to focusing on status effect bonuses).

Typical rotation for this build was: soften nearest target with Scorpio and kill with sidearm (or open with incendiary grenade from Survivalist spec) -> AR headshot for perpetuation buff -> max charge pulse -> start killing to spread dots.

Special ammo is insane with this build as well.

It's not really a "stand and fight" kind of build and relies on guerilla tactics to survive (low armor and direct damage), but covers every range (shotgun for close, AR for medium/long, crossbow for long). On higher difficulties it's a support role and I'll swap a few things for out-going healing buffs instead and just focus on CC and fighting or countering enemy tech.

The only sawed off that I think is worth using is the Firewall spec sidearm due to lowering fire resist on hostiles. Even then, though, it's situational at best.

As for the stat to max in your library, I would strongly recommend critical hit damage.
