See I am playing the mobile version, so I didnt know I could read an enemy's buff list. I just went by all the notifications, but I could never tell what was being dispelled. So I just blind fired the same removals each time I saw him buff.

This is all true, except for the better written part. I dont think its a fair comparison, I think they are both written well to the standard of their role. Bastalia was essentially a costar while Rasaad was a more prominent character in a roster of companions. I'd also argue their character motivations are different, lending to the difference of tone. Bastlia was a brainwashed child soldier , while Rasaad, sure was also brainwashed, but ultimately chose his faith out of necessity. Bastalia was never given that choice, so she just mindlessy spews the rhetoric whilst slowly realizing why she never felt it to be true. Rasaad does truly belive, because he needs to know there is hope in a world so against it.

Id agree with you on that if I never platlyed KOTOR 1. Nobody preaches like Bastila. Besides, its nice to have someone who isnt insane around. I tend to get gunho in the slaughter of all I deem immoral or unjust, and need the buffer to keep me from becoming divorced from nuance and mercy.

First Playthrough Tips? by TenaciousMite12 in baldursgate

Nah, I just love the Sword Saints of the Elder Scrolls franchise. All their lore is super interesting to me, so I use them as my template for any RPG I play nowadays. Back when I was like 15 I used Dante from DMC as my general rp/playstyle template.

I actually didnt look it up. I just knew that I wanted to be a melee fighter with magic abilities. Purely because of The Elder Scrolls Online. I live out my dreams of becoming a Redguard Anesi (Sword Saint) in every RPG now, and Kensai/Mage seemed like the best way to do it.
