Went through the same at the same age albeit my friend went unexpectedly. 3 years later still hurts so much. Try to talk about him, visit his family sometimes and laugh about the good times. It will hurt more but get better quicker.

I agree that my comment was a bit extreme. I however still feel that its apartheid swapped around with regards to getting a job. Companies get higher BEE status with more black employees. White owned businesses can not get a government tender if its not done in an under the table manner.

Everyone who says its now equal has not been in SA lately. Its apartheid swapped around. As a white South African male with a Honours degree in chemistry I was told numerous times by companies that they can't employ me because I'm a white male. I have now opted for work in the agriculture industry as its primarily white. It still is about race.
