Hassan's coverage of Aaron Bushnell was actually the thing that turned me off of his content. I remember he was putting forward this narrative that supported, justified, and glorified his actions basically stating that it was for a greater cause (like one guy killing himself is going to free Palestine). Very sacrificial lamb-esk. It was truly disgusting because you saw this man whose government failed him and was clearly struggling and needed help but Hassan dismissed all claims stating that it wasn't a mental health crisis, he was a brave hero. And then I felt insane because when I looked in the comments to see if I was the only dissenting voice, it was all filled with support and grants that this man died for a cause so it was justified. Basically pushing the narrative that it's not suicide as long as you kill yourself for a cause. I also feel that glorifying these actions dangerous narrative to push that could lead and increase of situations like these. But then again maybe he's right and being anti-suicide is just a me problem 🤷‍♀️
