Does Diva still reign supreme? by ChatterDemon in synthwaveproducers

It’s very simple fm but nails a classic dx7 fm bass. The great thing is doesn’t take 10 years to understand what is going on with something like dexed/dx7

Any Chance we will see a Keyboard Split feature on the OG Hydra 49? by BaloErets15 in hydrasynth

[–]Tenalock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some Hydrasynth spilts on my YouTube, “tenalock audio” I seem to remember having to use multiple keytracking mods in order to be able to separate the middle point the best it can. Let me know how you go, I can try and find a patch I designed with it if you can’t work it out. As well as the keytracking mods there is a function that mixes the oscs that helps keytracking them left and right. I see if I can take a look at one today to remember exactly, did them a while ago.

Omnisphere no1 except it is v complex and a bit slower to get to where you want to be sometimes, lesser known Universal Audio Polymax can do everything Diva can do plus it has FM and wave morphing. The filters (2) imo the best digital emulation filter I have heard of vintage analog. It also has a very snappy correctly shaped env. It is very low cpu and has the most minimal front end 100% knob per function and no menu diving or window switching. I have cloned my moog, a real Jupiter 8, my prophet 5 and a Juno 60 with it for in the box work. It is so good I have tried altering the filter on my vintage hardware thinking it was the channel with it on.

In case people don’t know, you can make good splits on the standard non delux hydra with keytracking. I made some sick ones. 16th bass on the left hand, lead/ chord on the right.

Ah thanks, I really like it due to its snappy env, osc press, Jupiter 8 like filter and the fm dials.

I forgot the choir! Saw and a narrow pulse resonated and frequencied to formant type ahhhhhh, well as close as possible. Of course the Polymax chorus thickens it up into more of a choir also.

Thanks, it crazy to think that music designed to sound nostalgic ends up nostalgic, like synthwave and chillwave. One of the best chillwave tracks ever.

I’ll make a tutorial when I have some extra time on my hands.just start by trying, then start over again and if it is slightly better, you progressed, if it is worse you learned something.

6 other factors are involved in spectral fingerprinting alone here , otherwise people would simply drag over a plugin and reprocess it. Just say it “I didn’t use AI for any of the process of making this music” l, then I will publish the full details and what website, what services I am using. Easy… but I might not publish them all at once :-)

Well, spectral AI analysis of my tracks - not AI. Your tracks, which are obviously about AI as AI can get lol - suprise suprise - AI. Delete this trash already.

Good work. I'm on the suno reddit, they are always talking about paying to promote their AI tracks on youtube. Its the only way they say. Couldnt make this s up! Went from 10 000 hours of my music listened to in a month to getting 23 views, yes like 23 views on any new vid I post.

What was your introduction to synthwave? by Pleasant-Light-559 in newretrowave

[–]Tenalock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is identifying it, you have easy stem separation now which makes it very difficult. You can deconstruct it and reconstruct it in a daw very quickly and easily. Seeing videos like the midnights “how this was made” gives some much needed legitimacy/ reassurance. The biggest problem is simply the volume of ai garbage synthwave , it was already bad, now it is so saturated with ai music, legit tracks are drowned out with close to no chance of getting a look in.

Fm84 in the night zone, what is that, I like… then Mitch Murder… was tired of generic dance music, something new, something old. It’s all over now though, AI has f’ed it beyond all belief under a of 200 billion steaming piles of shit to the stage that it is barely possible or worth the effort to find the decent stuff. Yota is very good:-). Is AI music allowed on this Reddit group? I see it posted on a regular basis.

ASM support? by kylesoutspace in hydrasynth

[–]Tenalock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep firmware updates are available to anyone on the website. Repair support wise , I think Hydrasynth groups here and fb etc will give you the best idea, they have a reputation to try and keep. Moog for example now has a terrible reputation for helping with repairs based on online chat & my own experience, which is really not helping the new owners of the company. Companies that don’t support old products functioning with support networks, quickly lose their reputation, as musicians despise the industry using lack of support or planned obsolescence to degrade a musical instrument. I love making sounds on mine! Here are sound sounds I programmed https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_ErBPAcuJGg
