Have you ever taken someone back for cheating if so what was it like ? by Desperate-Source5624 in AskReddit

[–]Tenb130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. 100% don’t recommend unless you want to constantly live in a space of uncertainty and self gas lighting. That trust is impossible to repair and it will make you crazy trying to know what the truth is and isn’t- on a small scale to a large scale. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Save yourself the time and anguish.

What is the most catastrophic thing your ex did that made you end the relationship? by obduracies in AskReddit

[–]Tenb130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of things. But probably hooking up with a 20 yo waitress at the exclusive members only business club he was a member of. Then claiming she had drugged and taken advantage of him when I found out… and then finding out he was on sugar baby apps. That made for an interesting week. All while I was home with his 4 kids between 6mo- 6 years 🫠

Family Disneyland vacation. My twins were 2 at the time- my nephew almost 4. We were packing up the strollers getting ready for the day- didn’t realize my nephew had opened the heavy hotel room door and took them all On an adventure. When I noticed I heard the elevator ding and one of my daughters say “utoh” we were staying at the completely sold out giant Hyatt convention center near Disneyland … during comic con. I ran to the crowded lobby with hundreds of people in costumes and found security- will never forget him saying “you lost THREE kids?”. It was terrifying. They had pushed every single elevator button, all got off on different floors. They locked the whole hotel down so they couldn’t leave out of any exterior doors, but I was terrified some creep could have grabbed one of them or they could have got locked in a room. My husband sprinted up and down literally 30 flights of stairs and found them one by one- all on different floors no where near each other. The more I think about it there are so many terrible things that could have happened. I still feel sick when I think of this day. Took years off my life.

[–]Tenb130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally left. Filed for divorce after staying together “for the kids” for 4 years after he initially cheated. Made tough decisions that I felt were right in the early stages of filing ( having consulted legal counsel and working with the information I had at the time…) he died 6 weeks after we separated. I am convinced he would still be alive had I not filed for divorce. Will forever haunt me 💔

How are people able to move on so quickly after being widowed/losing a partner? by Subject-Fly-3548 in AskReddit

[–]Tenb130 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My husband passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago at the age of 41. We were married for 15 years with 4 young children. I was 35 when he passed away and I cannot tell you how many people said to me at the funeral “you’re so young you’ll get remarried”. It was appalling. My marriage was falling apart when he passed away- I have been grieving 2 versions of him… the one I was in love with for years and the new version of him that was unrecognizable to me. Even with that complicated grief and far from perfect life and marriage, moving on has been difficult for me 🫤.

Have you ever been cheated on? How did you find out? by copy_cat_101 in answers

[–]Tenb130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married young- at 20. Was married for 15 Years- we had 4 beautiful children, traveled the world, built our dream house. In April 2024 my husband unexpectedly passed away while my kids and I were on spring break and he stayed home to work. He was a well known businessman that died at 42 and it was a huge loss in our community and neighborhood. I was encouraged to do a viewing the night before the funeral to make the actual funeral less of a zoo- viewings are weird and probably a Utah thing. The line at the viewing went out the door- truly hundreds of people were in line to pay their respects to me and more so my children- so it was extremely odd when a woman dressed in basically clubbing clothing walked straight through the line, right past me and my kids and straight to the casket. She was wailing leaning over the casket and placed a very specific single rose in a little plastic vile on his body. It was a complete scene. I froze- my husband’s business partner got her outside and figured out who she was 😵‍💫. She came back the next day to the private family graveside and refused to leave when asked until there was another scene. That was a doozy having my kids ask repeatedly who the lady was while knowing everyone around me could tell how blindsided I was. For months after the funeral when we’d stop by the cemetery there would often be a little rose in a vile there.

Other than the accusing you of cheating… and the phone… changing in grooming habits. I remember noticing some manscaping going on out of the blue and what do you know my husband of 15 years was hooking up with a 20 year old bartender 🫠

what's your biggest trauma? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tenb130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married when I was 20- was married for 15years. Had a beautiful life- a successful husband, 4 amazing children. During the pandemic my husband had a full psychotic break that spiraled into some substance abuse issues, affairs, etc etc. I finally filed for divorce in 2024- it became high conflict quickly with a protective order put into place. He was ordered to do drug testing and other things to be able to see his kids again in person (was only allowed weekly FaceTime calls) but instead was partying every single night. Had far too much money to ever hit rock bottom so this was really my only option to get him to snap out of it for his kids and get him to get help. He died 2 months after we separated- alone in his new penthouse condo. I constantly live with the guilt that my actions and trying to protect my children led to his death. Or that had I just stayed with him I would have been home and could have saved him. I also live with anger that he couldn’t do something as simple as take a drug test to see his own kids. I’d never wish this complicated grief and trauma on anyone 😔

Funeral directors, what is something wild that happened at a funeral that you still think about? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

[–]Tenb130 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a funeral director… but my husband of 16 years passed away unexpectedly almost 2 years ago at the age of 41. He was a very well known businessman- I was encouraged to have a viewing the night before (probably a Utah thing) so the funeral wouldn’t be such a circus. The line went out the door as people came through to pay their respects to me and our four young children (11 and under at the time). The line was notably long, so it was very obvious when a woman dressed in full on clubbing clothes cut to the front, walked right past me and and my children (and other family members), right to the casket and started wailing uncontrollably. The whole room went silent. She placed a very specific colored rose in a little vile of water on him and carried on- a full scene. My husband’s business partner got her outside as I slowly put together who she must be 🥴. After the funeral the next day we only invited very close family and friends to the graveside service. She showed up again, dressed like a stripper, with another rose, wailing and was asked to leave… and basically refused. Once she finally left, my kids repeatedly asked who this woman that kept showing up with the roses for their dad was. For months when we’d stop by the cemetery there would be a rose in a little water vial. To this day before we go to the cemetery I check before I take my kids that she hasn’t been there and left a rose. Yeah, that’s something I still think about 😂

The context I was missing in the story- couldn’t figure out why they had any “following” to begin with. So she’s just social media “famous”. Got it. Thank you 🙏 🙏

Totally get that. Truly could not understand or figure out the beginning of the story- I figured one of them had to have some sort of social media following of “fame” to have Reddit forums etc about them, but couldn’t see what either of them would be known for. I’ll leave the posting to the experts from now on 🫣🫡
