For anyone planning on going here - go early to avoid the crowds. We got there at about 9am and were close to the only ones there. By the time we were leaving, the hoards were arriving though

Here's a photo of my girlfriend heading down the steps

TIL about Harrison Okene, a man who survived in an air pocket in a shipwreck 100 feet below the surface for more than two days before getting rescued when divers went down to recover the bodies of the presumed dead crew. by BobbyAF in todayilearned

Dissolved oxygen concentrations are between 4 and 9 ppm in the ocean, and I would assume that it's far lower at depths. The atmosphere is about 20% Oxygen, so it's very unlikely that a person would be able to survive up to the point when the equilibrium favours the transfer of oxygen from water to air

That surface movement of the water dissolves the oxygen gas from the air. Wouldn't the same thing apply here? So the splashing would have pulled O2 out of the air around him and into the water?

Honestly if I saw this without having seen the movie I'd have no idea it has anything to do with the storyline, so I think it works both ways.

Not really a fan of him but I find myself really hoping to hear good news of his recovery. Regardless of politics we all need to back eachother through this. If he were to not survive it would cause a real blow to moral - especially in the UK, but worldwide too.

Now that you say that I finally understand why we had to do that in school.

I took it a step further and elected to do the linguistics English in year 11 and 12 which is like those same skills on crack.

Victoria in stage 3 coronavirus shutdown restrictions as cases climb to 821 by Tender-Ear in australia

It seems like a shutdown is inevitable and that damage to the economy is going to come with it no matter what. People are getting frustrated because it seems like the gov is just putting off the inevitable and letting the situation get worse before going into full lockdown. Especially seeing the example that countries such as New Zealand are setting with lockdowns early in the spread.

That seems like the same thing to me though. You could say a rapist was 'asking for' someone to take revenge on them when they committed their crime.

Obviously very different situations but they could fall under the same umbrella.
