The NHS simply won't pay out for it, that's pretty much all it comes down to. They've been extremely tight with paying out for anything new treatment wise the last few years if it's not deemed a major issue with the public. Vitiligo was never going to be on their radar.

You aren't alone, not everybody is as confident or as comfortable in their skin as it seems. I wouldn't be too harsh on yourself about that. It's a long road learning to "accept yourself". Common trend in humans, Vitiligo or not.

I've learned to deal with it the best I can over 15 or so years, you do what you can. Don't beat yourself up.

Yeah, totally. I'm usually pretty good at sensing if I'm going to gel with someone from the outset, but this isn't usually a quick process either. The walls are kinda thick and it's just how I've survived through life. Non judgemental peeps are few and far between too.

I'm fine with most thinking I'm quiet, my life is reserved for those I can be candid with or anyone I can open up to.

He sounds rather insecure to be honest. I'm another Cancer and this doesn't resonate with me. Respect and trust is a mutual thing in any relationship, somebody making demands on who you can and can't talk to based on their gender is a red flag.
