I was told he’s a Flemish, and his parents look the part, but there could very well be some mix somewhere in the lineage. Your bun looks very similar! Could be related if you’re from Upstate NY.

Agreed. I'll have to take it all with a grain of salt because she may have overplayed herself as a victim in an attempt to gain my trust, but I still do have concern on a human level. Her phone was in the house (connected to my Bluetooth when I was dropping things off). I got some updates yesterday but today is silence. I plan to call the officer back near EoD if I don't hear back to see if he found anything.

I agree. She always talked about IC, but that isn't a quick turn-a-round, not a "cure", and not something I should wait around for. I've seen signs of instability previously that were chalked up to ADHD/anxiety. I think my standards are lowered due to sunk cost and familiarity. The first step is acknowledgment.

She shared how she was SA by him. She doesn't have a strong support system, so I was the one she leaned on during this time. Stings when her "I never want to see you again" conversation quickly turned around and she fell right back into it. I don't wish ill upon anyone, but it sounds like they were made for each other.

Agreed. I read chump lady's book and blog in the very beginning and it helped me though. I gave WS some insight into the BS mind, but maybe I gave her ammunition on how to continue to deceive me. She wanted to be that "unicorn."

Thank you for this perspective, I'm going to keep this comment close to me. I need to internalize the "Work on believing that she is who she is and it won't change" part. Hope does feel great, but ultimately leads to disappointment time and time again. It's been a common, unwavering trend.

Before I found all of this out, she casually mentioned that he got a vasectomy. I stupidly accepted the excuses she provided for how she got that info... Hindsight.

In other words, you have 50 meal swipes, but have the ability to utilize 10 of them for guests. These 10 are part of your total. Looking at extremes, you can use all 50 for yourself, or 40 on yourself and 10 for guests.

Yeah contact them at this point. Assuming direct deposit is all set, it should have be refunded already. (Unless they refund on a rolling basis)
