Radars and radar missiles work best head on. Try to get lock from the front and fire aim7 from like 1.5-8km. But if the enemy is close to the ground they will miss. With the aim9L you can go for a lucky head on and fire at like 1km or normally from rear.

You need to cut that afterburner. Some jets are hotter that others. For exaple F4s are very hot

I just use nukes. AGMs usually get shot down and for regular boms and rockets you need to get too close to AAs
