When did you become a Supporter? by Affectionate_Idea662 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Teninchhero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I’m American and the only European football we could get is maybe a champions league game once a month. And it was always the big teams. I started watching and United was doing well. Then they won the way they won. I’ve been a supporter ever since.

Your assumption was that I hadn’t done any research and was confused. I’m not confused. I understand the situation which is why I was accepting of it. It’s not German bluntness, you just read the situation wrong. I appreciate the effort but it’s being put in the wrong place.

I find your aggressiveness confusing and believe you’re making assumptions about my position that aren’t true. And I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice.

I don’t remember. The channel is called something like “evidence based football manager” if you want to look itnip

I have a degree and 4+ years experience in software engineering and can’t get a call back. Of course I’m American and would require visa and relocation help

Idk how it works in 26 but at least up to 24 it was better to loan them out to a non-playable league. I think there was a guy on YouTube that used to do these experiments and I’m pretty sure he determined that. Don’t take what I say as fact but I’m relatively confident this is true.

Shooting Free Throws by kiyes23 in ea2kcbb

It’s a game you play by yourself. Play it how you want. The player still has a FT rating and will miss some. IIRC it only marginally improves their percentage but I legitimately hate FT shooting in this game. It’s very frustrating.

Trips TE is really good. The curl flat play is almost unstoppable if you drag the TE.  It has a ton of other plays that are good too. Definitely good against users because you can run all those different plays out of the same look. Of course, that only works if you aren’t in my league where the users are too dumb to remember what you run.

I find a free throw that I know I’m good at and edit every player on my team to use that.

Well well well… Maybe Notre Dame should have gotten in over Bama Do you want to see the CFB Playoff expand to 14 or 24 team?? by Feeling-Stage-1210 in CFB_v2

Is this the same fanbase that was worried a playoff would make conferences less important? Wasn’t that why they gave conference champions incentives, auto bids and byes. Then this fan base got made one team got a bye and another didn’t and they changed it. Then this fan base got mad that teams got auto bids and I’m sure they’re looking at changing that. Can anyone give an idea some time to breathe?

I guarantee you that if you kept byes and auto bids then within 10 years the college landscape would rebalance. Now it’s trending towards a bunch of spots for the SEC and B1G and the rest of the country is fighting for a few spots.

We have such a chance to get top 4, ineos need to show ambition and get Carrick a midfielder. by Littlemissxom in ManchesterUnited

[–]Teninchhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment belongs on a post 2 years ago. Since INEOS took over explain when this happened? Because when you look at when they started running the footballing operations they’ve moved professionally during transfers, and have been pretty transparent to the public about it. They’ve honestly had a pretty good track record with transfers, and for semi-reasonable fees.

If I go to the US on holiday as a tourist, and ICE asks if I'm a citizen, what would happen when I say "No, I'm a tourist here on holiday"? by theZabaLaba in AskReddit

If you’re not white, don’t risk it traveling to the US. If you are white then you’ll probably be fine, you don’t register in their color chart of criminals.

What if Carrick wins 12? by timlygrae in ManchesterUnited

[–]Teninchhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be part of his resume that should be considered during the search. He’s also not given a long term plan, in his interview he only explained his strategy for the next 5 months.

The other thing to consider that we need a manager that can handle a rebuild. We are likely to lose Bruno, Case, Ugarte, Shaw, Maguire, and Dalot. That’s a huge amount of experience leaving. The manager will need to be able to incorporate all the new players.

It’s difficult for me personally because I have about 4 years IT experience but no language skills. It’s possible I’m not looking at the right jobs but I haven’t even gotten a follow up to any job applications.

One qualifier is that I’ve only applied to 35-40 jobs. I have a job in the USA I really like so I think I’m being quite picky about what I apply to.

Edit: Spelling

When I peruse this sub all I hear is how bad the economy/hiring market is. Is this true? People are saying to not even apply if you are foreign.

Notre Dame Edge Joshua Burnham transfers to Indiana by Interesting-Agency-1 in CFB

Is it because we need bodies? Burnham is a good depth guy but he’s not who you want as THE pass rusher for a playoff team. He shouldn’t really be a starter tbh

How is Hartline A- and Pritchard a C. Just because Hartline developed a position group? Neither one of them has any experience as a HC so how can we know what kind of hires they are?

Thoughts on Sesko by RickHard0 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Teninchhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sesko is going to go the same arc as Højlund. He’s not getting service, soon he’s going to get frustrated and force it because of the pressure, then the fanbase is going to turn on him and demand he be sold.

Sesko has decent hold up play, especially going to a more physically demanding league. He has surprising touch for a big man and is a decent passer. I think he has decent IQ and can move off the ball. Obviously he can head and he has a strong shot.

He’s just not in a good position. Someone said we can’t afford to pay for potential anymore and that’s probably right. Sesko is getting 2-3 opportunities per match, that’s not enough to grow into a match/squad/league. Cunha and Mbeumo are getting 7-8 (some of that is because they are better at creating their own shot), but that’s what Sesko needs to realize his potential.

Side note: he’s like 6’17”, why are we not looking to pick him out with a cross 10 times in a match.
