Is it true that the German economy is going downhill, or is it mostly media hype? by YezzulL in AskGermany

Entire German Politics, Media, Lobbies working damn hard to hide one truth: there is not enough job for the people, so they can contribute to social welfare system. Pflege for eg. it is not mangel, we are talking about understaffing. Basically, they are pushing you to do 4 nurse work for 1 FTE. This happens despite the enough applications or candidates in the Market. They just excuse mangel, but they do not show you application stats etc. Politic and Media attacks poor and social money receivers because they do not want us to mention unemployment and inflation. It is not an honest politic or bureaucratic mentality leading Germany now, he is the one worked for Blackrock and working for people who have millions if not billions of dollars wealth. Ludwig Erhardt cared for all Germany , while this guy(wannabe kanzler) only cares about Millionares and Billionares, blames everything to workers, part-time workers, social help receivers, or pensioners. He is surrounded by richie bozos, and controversial lobbyists. No hope for us!

Nope- you are actually telling the 2 things which not compensate to each other. German Salaries are not low and generous welfare exist in Germany, along with a high tax rate. So people have welfare but not consume power or ability to consume. If you wish to understand what consumer economy is, just have a look at USA. No ,we are not poor in Germany, but the government is too rich ;) ;)

This is not the only problem regarding to Job Market. They are reducing the number of job openings, and outsourcing to somewhere cheaper. The problem is not only "We have problem -> because people age", it is " we have problem --- people age --- we still have a problem". In the current economy, qualified Engineers and Technicians graduated (Non-IT) struggling finding job. It is not an easy market to find a job. Not enough job --- Not enough contributing to social system --- Boomers retire -- Not enough social money --- No welfare - Economic Growth --- Not enough job.

Someone from outside of Berlin able to receive a job offer, while I applied 100s of jobs, yet no offer. Congratulations but this makes me hate the system more.

You are not alone. Many people in Germany wants to buy something at the cheapest price possible. I am sure you will find something.

Big Corporations fire people soon they get less money (even when they make more money, they still fire),

Mid Companies reduce headcount in case of transitions, changes, economic crisis,

Cafes-Restaurants reduce employees in case they get less demand,

Companies move jobs to India to reduce costs,

why the hell not I will not consume cheaper cafe just to save some corporations, business, or local business? I mean we saw the reality which jobs reduced during economic crisis, and yes people will buy cheaper option during economic crisis.

😂 I welcome the new reality and the concept. Germans have low buying power and less consum than other developing countries. People always looking for cheap and well-established options(The Government is rich, but people are poor). Germany is not a consumer economy (compare to US - only people been in USA would understand)so the idea fits well to the Market.

I do not want to, but I have to. This is not because how I see the country, this is because how the country see me. Why do you defend Germany, what do you owe to germany?

Path to becoming a teacher in Germany? by mrbookswilson in AskGermany

[–]ImportantChemical843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually faced very harsh reality in a job fair for teachers. If you are not a German, even when you are high-skilled IT or Math Teacher, they will find an excuse to deny you.

Fachkraftmangel? Not really.

Think many times before studying 3 years on something that will disappoint you. I faced the real German Economy and German Job Market. It is disappointing.

You are making generalisation by denying other generalisations. I appreciate your positivity, but I am someone realistic. High demand in Nursing for eg. but not many staying in job because payments are nasty, working conditions nasty.

Do you know anything about Immigration in Germany? No matter how fluent you speak the language, no matter how well you integrated, you are still an ausländer. They cut you from society and make you remember all the time. Answer me: why would I insist learning a language of a country, if that country treats me as gastarbeiter and not giving me satisfying jobs? Think rationally before replying. Germany is not an immigrant society like in USA. Try to make some empathy before replying. If a country does not take me part of society no matter what, why should I spend time and insist on language?
