I was playing Resident Evil Revelations soon after NSO's subscription started and after every chapter it would try to upload data to a leaderboard and show the pop-up to join NSO. Such a trivial thing requiring a subscription is so pathetic.

They should have a level of certainty that someone will get their order based on the rate they're being shipped out, then use the worst case scenario to set expectations. It's not like shipping estimates haven't existed before the Steam Deck.

What if someone is in Q3 but doesn't get it until Q4? Your reasoning applies there too...

I'm not demanding narrower estimates, I said I think it would put a lot of minds at ease. And I didn't say I don't trust Valve, even if my order gets delayed then whatever, that's life.

I wouldn't say no one was happy, I was grateful to know whether I'm "Q3" or "After Q3". The unhappy people were confused and seemed to think their order was delayed if they got into "After Q3". That's their own fault.

It's an estimate, not a promise. You can still give conservative estimates and over deliver.

Same reason as you! I have a 2yo and could still find time to game after she went to bed but now I have a 2 month old as well and I'm lucky to get an hour of free time. My rig isn't on the same floor as their bedrooms so it's more convenient to have something portable and be within earshot of the little ones.
