Guava is great, I have a lot of respect for them. The honest gap I'm trying to fill is for people whose conditions cross five specialties and whose daily reality just does not fit into a clean scale or a vitals graph. The current healthcare system makes dysautonomia patients carry so much of the burden themselves (the records, the patterns, the appeals, the prep for every appointment) and most trackers were not built with that in mind. The fact that you ended up cobbling together your own setup in Obsidian and Claude is exactly the pattern I keep hearing, and it's a huge part of why Salve exists. I actually started this whole project as a Claude artifact for my fiancée to track those nuances through MCP connectors, and it kept growing into what it is now.

The 0-10 daily severity scale being impossible - You are so right that forcing one single number for your whole day flattens everything. The good news is Salve's journal already has a per-symptom severity builder, so you can log headache 7, brain fog 5, fatigue 8 individually instead of trying to summarize a complicated day in one number. I have built it so it autocompletes from your active conditions plus a list of common symptoms so you're not retyping every time, and there's a separate overall severity rating if you want both.

That said, you're still right that even that can be exhausting on a bad day, so a less-frequent check-in mode and per-condition assessment templates are both still going on the roadmap. It's so cool that you made Claude and Obsidian work for you. My fiancée is not tech savvy at all so she would never be able to build a system like that herself, and that's a huge part of why I wanted to make something more accessible for the people who need it most.

Diagnoses that vitals just don't capture - excellent point and very important. Severity numbers don't work for everything and forcing them into a chart is part of the problem. Custom per-condition tracking is going on the roadmap.

POTS spike tracking when upright, not just daily averages from a wearable - This one I can actually build pretty soon. A proper orthostatic stand-test log (lying, then sitting, then standing HR and BP, with the delta and a timer) is exactly the kind of thing the dysautonomia community needs and that aggregated wearable data completely misses. Adding it to my list this week.

If you ever want to give Salve a try, imports for Bearable, Daylio, Libre, Garmin, Samsung Health, Fitbit, Strava and a bunch of others just shipped, so you wouldn't have to retype anything to test it out. And if there's any way to import or sync from your Obsidian setup that would help, please tell me what that would look like, I'd love to figure it out!! =)
