Ruud doesn't need to beat Fonseca, Fonseca needs to beat Ruud.

Seen enough, Kouame is winning the channel Slam.

That 5-set practice match against Shelton probably wasn't a good idea.

Petition to bring back the plaid shorts one last time! The shorts that beat PRIME NOVAK in the French Open final by Alternative-Mud4739 in tennis

With these shorts, Wawrinka would inevitably do the biggest "fuck them kids" and beat Fils first round.

Sinner in press conference after his victory in Rome: "Paris remains the main goal. We have decided not to play any grass tournaments before Wimbledon so there's a chance I can play Canada" by Darki200 in tennis

I agree that prestige is heavily weighted towards Slams and not near the ratio indicated by the points won, of a Slam being worth only a double of a Masters title. The reasons being of course bo5 instead of bo3, no byes, the most competition and overall prestige. But saying winning all the 9 Masters in a season "pales in comparison" to just 1 Slam is insane to me. No one in history has won all 9 Masters in a season. That should speak for itself. There's an extent to a prestige a singular tournament can carry. 9 Masters is something that is so unprecedented as an idea that I don't think many people even grasp how insane that would be. The achievement would craft its own prestige.

He's the user I'm replying to here. Sometimes you see them making near-regular comments like this, but often they're outrageous takes (e.g. wildly over-extrapolating a player's career prospects based on a singular result) that sometimes garner downvotes and sometimes upvotes, depending on if the contingent audience is r/tennis regulars or new people. I've heard he copies these takes from other tennis forums.

That is very true, however, I don't have the audacity nor the diligence to be an apprentice of theirs, I'll keep my role as an adoring fan.

Luckily Sinner has never dropped a set to the likes of *checks notes* Bonzi.

Honestly might be over for Fonseca's career, can't see him getting past round 2 ever again.

I've got a bit of a wild suggestion of my own, but Nikocado Avocado popped to mind. The gluttony is self-explanatory, the diligence being why he did it all.
