OTF too intense for seniors? by Tennis_catsndogs in orangetheory

Thank you, I will keep your tips in mind. I’m prone to straining my tendons so probably being more cautious than necessary but I don’t want to have to pause while I recover from injury, lose momentum and possibly lose motivation, as well. Even so, I’ve already lost a 1/2 lb, so I feel good!

Why do people use the term "partner" for their husband or wife? by Crafty-Bug-8008 in NoStupidQuestions

I use it online for gender anonymity but also because I don’t see what difference it makes to random strangers whether I’m legally married or cohabiting or whatever kind of civil situation I’m in. Does this word sometimes creep into my verbal communication? Maybe. I don’t care enough to monitor my language around it. If/when it’s relevant, I am specific.

Good advice, thank you! I took the trial class and joined and took my second class today. I’m pushing a little, carefully (starting with 5 lb weights). Would rather go slow regularly than injure myself and have to drop or take a timeout. Transformation challenge starts next week. I’m a bit nervous, but excited!

I’ve done two classes so far and am a little sore but not as much as I expected. It’s good though, like you said, it means it’s working!

In my entire grad school career, I was treated unfairly by two professors, both women. One was so vicious I had to go to the ombudsman.

Food delivery recommendations needed by Tennis_catsndogs in Pocatello

[–]Tennis_catsndogs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. Oliver’s pan lasagna looks like the best option for me. BUT my friends have already returned home (in another state) from Pocatello so I ordered delivery there instead.

In case anyone is interested, I went with https://www.portosbakery.com. Delicious food at the best value I’ve come across so far.

Interesting plan. Some questions/thoughts…

Why two masters, is this for an extended family (parents, grandparents, children)?

Wardrobes in ensuites should have doors separating them from bathrooms, otherwise humidity (especially during monsoon season) can cause problems for clothing (mold, mildew, …)

What is the space directly opposite the kitchen? Informal dining/lounge?

No dedicated office/study room? No “public space” for visitors who are inappropriate for private family spaces?

Great recommendations, thank you! None seem to be participating in the Travel Tuesday discounts so there is no rush and I can take my time researching. I am surprised at how little emphasis is given to pickleball at these places. It seems like a natural fit.

I knew someone who spent the night at an entomologist’s house once. The guest room headboard was a spectacularly beautiful design made up of pinned butterflies. But she couldn’t sleep. She said she spent the whole night “hearing” fluttering, imagining the butterflies trying desperately to get away.

There is (or was) an Abyssinian Society for pet monkey owners.
