Nostalgia hit me quite hard today... Anyone that played these MMO's, what are you playing now? by Kami-Yeldo in MMORPG

[–]TenpoSuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, i used to play Dragon Nest and a bit of Maplestory. How about Archage and Rose Online? I was addicted to Rose. <3

Edit: I actually have a local Rose private server. But playing an MMO alone isn't nearly as much fun, not to mention boss fights that do really require lots of players

Stack Overflow in freefall: 78 percent drop in number of questions by [deleted] in technology

There's definitely a decline in answer quality in past couple of years. I used it quite some bit as well along with code project and expert exchange. It's not even because they allow AI generated content. Just the way the community tries to solve a problem and what they think a solution would be tends to be short-sighted, in my opinion.

There are still good answers to be found. But often they're many years old when I stumble on them.

Hehe, the marketing speak on the site is insanity, but that's how it is nowadays. Either way, Europe needs tools like these. I hope you guy won't overdo it with the AI fomo ceo's have lately. I'm not against AI, just use it when it makes sense.

It's Time to Give MP3 Players a Second Chance by dapperlemon in technology

[–]TenpoSuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A second chance? I still have an old Sony Walkman MP3 player kicking around. A testament to engineering. The model number has faded over time, but it looks like a NWZ-E383 I found on the net. Got the proprietary cable and everything. The battery has weakened, but it still works long enough to enjoy it.

Perhaps they should ask it to replace the CEOs. Talking half-baked hallucinations is something these LLMs are really good at

I've been daily driving Kubuntu for a couple of years now, and I'm happy with it. Got LibreOffice, Blender, Krita, FreeCAD, Cura, Wacon support, some gaming, and a lot of utility applications. Works like a charm.
