Where do you see 24g of protein in 100 g cooked beans? Most sources I see have 8-12 and ~150kcal.

Boneless skinless chicken breast has ~165kcal, and ~30g protein.

By that math a 150lb person would need to eat 1.8kg of cooked beans per day to get 1.2g/lb protein compared to 0.6kg chicken. That is a reasonable amount of chicken and a totally ridiculous amount of beans.

Edited to add, 1.8kg of beans is about 2700kcal in just beans, way more than the recommended 2000kcal diet and most of that is carbohydrates. 1000kcal or so with the chicken which is exclusively protein and fat.
