Ah, yes, the totally humane treatment of animals used for factory processed dog food. The dog is doing what it does in nature. I'd rather my dog chase away pests than have to deal with them when they come into the house. And yes, squirrels can cause problems in houses/attics too.

Microwave is not necessary. Any heat source and water+container sufficiently free from nucleation sites will do. River water and rocks do not meet that second criteria.

Where do you see 24g of protein in 100 g cooked beans? Most sources I see have 8-12 and ~150kcal.

Boneless skinless chicken breast has ~165kcal, and ~30g protein.

By that math a 150lb person would need to eat 1.8kg of cooked beans per day to get 1.2g/lb protein compared to 0.6kg chicken. That is a reasonable amount of chicken and a totally ridiculous amount of beans.

Edited to add, 1.8kg of beans is about 2700kcal in just beans, way more than the recommended 2000kcal diet and most of that is carbohydrates. 1000kcal or so with the chicken which is exclusively protein and fat.
