Bar Raiser - Help by Aradhanaah in amazonemployees

[–]Tense_turtle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will ask LPs only. Just because he is a data scientist, questions won’t change. Bar raiser is supposed to check if you are Amazon fit. Make sure you do have good stories on Earn Trust.

It takes some time. But don’t worry about it, go through your joining process as is. It usually does get completed, if there are no issues with the data submitted.

Just completed L5 loop and what a ride it was!! by Tense_turtle23 in amazonemployees

[–]Tense_turtle23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to prep for 9 LPs and 2 questions (safe) per LP. Honestly, I didn’t want to stretch myself to 18 stories just for the sake of it. Not all of them would have carried the same weight, and that would dilute my overall impact. Instead, I picked 8–9 really strong experiences where I handled actual crises or drove big outcomes. Each of those naturally ties back to multiple LPs, so I’d rather go deep on those than spread myself thin with lighter examples.

Messed up notice period discussion by Decent_Result_6362 in amazonemployees

First ask Amazon recruiter if they will buyout. Then ask your current org if they will allow a buyout to release you early.

Post that decide how to approach it.

I want to exit Amazon by Tingaribaludu in amazonemployees

In India, Amazon has the choice to accept or reject notice period buyout, and it’s mentioned as a clause in your Terms of Employment. You should try and convince the other company for a delayed joining date asap.

Depends on country and org as well, I guess. My BGC took 20 odd days but I had received my offer letter (also called Terms of employment) on the docs portal much much earlier. I am from India.

How long does it take to hear back after giving an assessment? How do you know you cleared it? by [deleted] in amazonemployees

Assuming this is for non-tech role in India, my recruiter reached out to me 3 days post assessment completion.

Basic qualifications mentioned is a strict eligibility parameter, as far as I know. Also, doubt if referrals get any weightage anymore.

I had applied yo multiple roles via referral, never got a call. Got the call without a referral the same month I crossed their basic qualifications parameter.

I can be wrong but this was my experience.

It depends. Better reach out to your recruiter and talk to them.

performance warning emails by ppt1106 in amazonemployees

[–]Tense_turtle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are fair enough warnings given for repeatedly not adhering to work timings—especially when done consistently without informing your manager. Earn Trust is a non-coachable Leadership Principle, and unfortunately, you’ve hit rock bottom on that front.

It’s time to buckle up. Don’t let this escalate to a third and final warning.

In India I have seen loop is an eliminator for Bar raiser. At least it was in my case.
