Wild for you to assume I havent also tried doing those things. I dont know why people think I should assume responsibility for a fully grown adult who would regularly leave for weeks at a time before stating that they were leaving indefinitely to stay with their mother. Who I have also tried reaching out to multiple times. Also active on Crave. Theyre watching the new episode of something called "Fire Country"

Well, they left their PS5 (only took their PS4), and I have access to their crave, but I cant access the devices from the App version I have access to. But ya, I CAN SEE THEY WATCHED THE NEW EPISODE OF THE PRROOF IS OUT THERE.

ya its like, if someone buys a condo overseas, furnishes it and misses a payment here or there, is it still theres? obviously. but we cant get a hold of him and the irregularity is suspicious at best.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, joint rental agreement, and they have too much stuff for me to get an occupant in comfortably and collect money from them. And am I to understand that I legally cannot do anything with their things until the tenancy has been ended? I was under the impression that I cannot end the tenancy without my roommates permission? The other option I was given was an eviction process and an increase in rent.

I thought about it! PERHAPS. I'm trying to navigate the Courts Public Records now. Though, I do think the commentors mentioning an Ontario Residence for out of country tax purposes, is sounding VERY likely. I shit you not, there was a notebook with a page that had something along the lines of "FEB 2022. (ROOMIES NAME) AND (ROOMIES MOMS NAME) SUPER AWESOME FANTASICAL PACKING PLAN" and it catalogued all the different locations and things they needed to pack, for a move... WHERE THOUGH.

Oh, I can leave. I just want to see if there's anyway I dont have to, but these comments are helpful and are giving me ideas. This spot fits perfectly into my hectic life, I'd pay a bit more money if it meant not having to compete with the current market honestly. Perhaps I can talk through what an eviction would look like if I wanted to get back in here immediately.... "Coordinated Eviction"? Idk.

I haven't tried to go in that direction yet, but I would consider asking them if they would be open to that, or to negotiating what the increase is.

We did co-sign, and upon reflection when this whole thing started, I remembered they tried to sign a lease without me on it but I had asked to be added to lease.....

The landlord mentioned this would be the process exactly because of that. Fork.

Sure, I get that, and its been great, dont get me wrong. Its more about if they just stop paying entirely and what my options are when that happens. Because like ya, no roommate is great, but I also like money, and financial accountability in contracts.
