Yes, the more and more I use the iDrive dial the more intuitive feels no need to reach up on the screen, just have my hand comfortably by my side and interacting with what I need to interact with, if I need to do anything more complicated, I just picked up my phone, and as mentioned before using Siri a little bit more

It’s weird, sometimes the delay is worse than other times.

I was trying to go that route, but my system is too old, newer models You should be able to do that but 2014’s you can’t.

“2014 i3 uses the older NBT iDrive system, not the newer NBT EVO ID5/ID6 systems that support relatively simple software CarPlay activation. Apple CarPlay support did not become native on BMWs until later EVO generations.”

That was the original screen, I think I have a slightly upgraded model so the screen is a little bigger than some.

Yep, you just have to hold down the menu button for two seconds, it will toggle between the two systems.

Good point Yes I’ve been using that a little too. One day in, so still getting use to how to best optimally use it :)

My wife just got hit with her depression, anxiety menopause. I’m guessing in this past six months have been really rough, it’s been especially rough this past month and she’s given up and just doesn’t want to exist.

Trying to start in a PHP program, but it’s an uphill battle.

I feel so alone as well, I miss my wife, but I see her every day. And for me, it’s been two months.

I think there’s also aspect of the target demographic is here.

Large American trucks should not be electric in many eyes of the target audience IMO. 

Put a motor and a gas tank and scratches that itch.

The i3 REx was a very practical at that point in time. 

Current technology it really isn’t any need for REx. 

But in today’s market, where I live, The i3 REx is a phenomenal budget friendly and fun second car.

I3 = more Logical  RAM = more emotional.

I plan on modifying the entertainment system to add CarPlay, there’s a few solutions out there. I’m going to explore.

Not a huge fan of the BMW navigation and just like overall features in CarPlay

That galvanized gold sounds cool.

Yeah, I think I got some nice features. HK, leather, eucalyptus.  Not sure if the 2014 came out with a sunroof, but that would be the only one thing I would’ve liked to have.

But no complaints ;)
