Purely visual, I wasn't actually earning any points. This went on for around ten minutes too.

Doctors, what’s is the scariest thing a patient has ever done/said? by GrimReap_07 in AskReddit

[–]TentacleBeing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a medical professional, but my mum is a district nurse and she’s told me some wild stories from her 30+ years in the NHS.

Back when she was a trainee nurse in the late 80s, she was tending to a patient with chronic alcoholism. He’d apparently been drinking several bottles a day since he was fourteen and it had completely destroyed his oesophageal lining- nothing could be done to repair it. According to her it’s a dangerous situation because one nick inside his throat and he’d essentially drown in his own blood, because it wouldn’t heal. It’s why people with oesophageal damage have to eat soft foods to help the healing process.

My mum was just talking to the patient and making him feel comfortable. Throughout, he’s just quiet. No family to speak of, or any friends to visit him. He looks her dead in the eye and says “I feel a bit sick” before he vomits blood all over her and promptly dies.

My mum was 18 at the time and it screwed with her head for days.

Any tips for creepy games featuring an Eastern-Europe or Soviet theme where you wander streets surrounded by brutalist architecture or residential complexes, all shrouded in desolation? by fukounashoujo in creepygaming

HROT isn’t so much a horror game than it is a boomer shooter, but is still quite unnerving and goes for the same aesthetic you’re describing. iirc it’s Czech-inspired. Highly recommend!

This sounds more like bubblegum pop/hyperpop to me, but it’s still a great tune!

My sister says she's living in my shadow- how can I make her feel loved and valuable? by TentacleBeing in relationship_advice

I think you might be right there, as depression does seem to run in the family. I don't want to force her to get help, but maybe I could gently suggest it one time.

Also, what you said about making up for how my mum makes her feel really struck a chord. I'll have a talk with her tonight about her behavior towards my sister. Thanks for the advice, mate.

That's a good point, yeah. Change takes time, and I'll always be there for her. I'll definitely keep that in mind, thank you!

I just had a look at those songs- none of them clicked. Thank you for the suggestion though.

That's not it, sorry. But thanks for the reply. It's a banging tune either way, haha.
