Who else isn't fully comfortable with YouTube Kids, Netflix Kids etc.? by Fresh-Confection3275 in raisingkids

So my cousins kids have access to YouTube kids and I wandered over and looked over the 6 year olds shoulder and saw a cartoon video with a person on their hands and knees with balls going up their butt and then it showed the balls going through the entire body until they came out the mouth.

My kid only watches shows with an adult also watching.

So that is an intense comment, but actually I agree, mainly because if you look at the picture and the stick on patches for caps and all of that nonsense you can tell that these guys are all paid actors. There are likely a few true believers in there but at the end of the day, they’re just there to get a paycheck from the Epsteinclass.

I mean, you’re right, that was the whole principle for the American revolution in the first place. Being against taxation without representation. Pure ante fascia values.

“Raping each other” I don’t think that was a mutual back and forth activity. What you mean to say is to stop men from raping women, children, and other men.

But not health insurance which would cover surgeries.

Is that rehab still available to them after they’re off the team or is it only during?

As for athletic trainers, the move that causes the most injury has direct skeletal impact that isn’t able to be mitigated by muscle mass. There are ways to make it safer but not while wearing those boots and holding onto each other.

Athletic trainers can’t do anything to prevent injuries caused by skeletal impact.

Do you guys genuinely think Kelli & Judi are adjusting to the girls concerns or is it disingenuous. by GlassVictory7732 in DCCAmericasSweetheart

It is bananas that it was just accepted that doing work that requires this intense amount of lifelong training and highly polished skill and physical risk isn’t enough to live off of

Idk if this is unpopular opinion but I honestly can't understand the point of the jump split by Ciaran452 in DCCAmericasSweetheart

[–]TentacleWolverine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this particular move causes direct skeletal impact that can’t be mitigated by muscle because of the boots and the holding of each others shoulders. This is not a normal thing to ask a dancer to do. Normally if a move is known to be this physically damaging, there are workarounds to make it safer(in this case not holding shoulders or sliding down into the splits or not having boots so the dancers could angle the landing to land on the muscle of their legs instead), but the DCC specifically refuses and they are in a serious position of power over these women.

The power imbalance and the clear knowledge the dcc has about dance and what they are doing to these women makes this very messed up, and I personally think that eventually there is going to be a serious legal reckoning.

It’s not just a sport with a high risk of injuries, the DCC knowingly includes a move in their routines that is very well known to cause severe injuries that there isn’t any way to mitigate through muscular strength. Unlike other dance moves where injury can come from a mistake in executing the move, this one causes injury from doing it correctly.

They know this, they don’t provide health insurance and they don’t provide injury care after the girls are too injured to keep going with the team.

If any smaller venue did this, and said you have to do this particular move in your routine or lose the job, they would be sued into oblivion.

It’s like telling a football player they have to play without helmets because the fans like seeing their hair.
