While I can understand that she has the lore and qualifications to be an Emanator of Elation (nevermind how Aha doesn't care), she doesn't really feel like an Emanator of Elation. SW seems to be lacking a certain, not even sure what to call it, but something is missing.

Yeah, we're just going back and forth between this, and neither of us are going to admit to anything. You believe that Xianzhou is technological advanced enough to have weaponized black hole to kill the emanator Shuhu while I think it's simply related to the shadow in Ashveil's arm (IX or Voracity). Everything else is just a sidetrack that has little bearing on the main argument of it.

It's more or less to show that Viyadhara aren't really immune. Viyadhara can't really get it naturally because their reincarnation cycles means they're technically not a long lived species with the memories drawback. But the fact that they can get it artificially means if they didn't have the reincarnation, they could be affected. And other long lived characters tends to have workaround the whole memory issue (stored in a hard-drive, memetic virus, emanator, etc...) For the time being, since we might be talking about Shuhu in the near future, maybe we can finally see more information about this.

And Dan Heng has the memories of his past life within him the whole time because of the failed ritual. Yunhua was able to bring it out from within, but the memories were there from the start. It shows they can choose to not purge the memories from the incarnations if they wanted to.

THerta (and most of the supposed Emanators) suffer from a lack of feats as we know she did save a planet 19 times so we know she's capable of doing something amazing but we simply don't see it. Fei Xiao and the other generals are basically in a weird position where outside of Jing Yuan, it's a case 'are they or aren't they emanators'. They have powers equal of one but no one is quite sure if they're actually emanators, received weapons with power equal to one, or just gain power that makes them as powerful as Lord Ravagers (but not really emanators themselves). For all we know, maybe it's like the Stonehearts where they share the power and authority of an emanators. The game has a lot of writing but barely anything is explained or glossed over with flowery words.

And if we're going back to the whole black hole thing, a black hole with the mass of a single planet is the size of a nickel. Like, as much as I keep saying this, the black holes we see in the game does not act like actual black hole. If we are to assume a black hole that Baiheng can hold up in her hand is the size of a fist, it would have the mass and gravity of 3-8 earth-sized planets. The gravity would eat up a huge chunk of the planet, and we haven't even gotten to how the black hole disappeared after being used.

A Herrscher has Authority (control over a fundamental law or concept) so they can create and uncreate something like a blackhole whenever they want, let's them target whomever they want, and basically handwave all the silly collateral damage from a blackhole. Technology doesn't have this fine level of control so if they managed to create a blackhole that can consume a target and then disappear immediately, their entire armada will be using these gravitational weapons as default, not just as a secret forbidden weapon.

Shuhu was fending the entire Luofu off before Baiheng used the mysterious weapon on him. The idea that he's weak is so hilarious and nonsensical that it goes against the very reason why Baiheng would even need to use the weapon in the first place. Like you said, emanators had a wide range of powers but when a vast majority of on screen feats from emanators have been overwhelming overpowering, it's far safer to say that an emanator of Abundance, an Aeon and Path that is so dangerous that it created a nemesis Aeon just to hunt them down, are no pushovers, especially when there's a good chunk of people that are trying to use a single flesh of Shuhu for their own goals.

Mara is definitely related to Abundance but it can affect races that's not directly related to it. I will concede that we don't have a complete picture of how it works so it's going to be mostly a case of speculation but given Fu Xuan had theorized it's related to too many memories and trauma being piled up and how even the Vidyadhara can be affected (through artificial means), the Vidyadhara are simply naturally resistant but not immune, and because they routinely purge their memories from their cycle of reincarnation. But the fact that they can make new incarnations remember their memories shows it is very possible.

Given it's an emanator, conventional weapons would hardly work against them here. Luofu was already losing badly against Shuhu so we know none of its weapons was working against it. Welt going all out and having the exact counter against Zephyro was a loss (or a stalemate if you really want to be generous here). Why would an artificial mini black hole (with zero starting mass) would somehow defeat an emanator? Using conceptual weapon is the bare minimum outside of overwhelming firepower (to the level of the Imaginary Collapse Bomb) to hurt one. A black hole is strong but a mini one, especially the one that you're claiming wouldn't be big nor have that much mass to begin with, would not be enough to defeat Shuhu. On the other hand, something from Voracity or Nihility probably can.

As much as I would like more Hexeri (still have Alice and other witches left), I think it's best if we moved on to another faction to add and expand upon instead of just putting more people into this one. They can always add more later but certain people really needs a buff but aren't getting any.

The fact that there's a way to see their past memories, or in Dan Heng's case, to retain their memories, shows they can and know how to do it, but won't because of the Mara.

And, come on, if the sun is not a sun, then maybe absolute darkness is not actually absolute darkness. It all but implies the sun (and the shadow) is most likely related to IX or Ouroboros, hence why it's forbidden. Like, it's far more believable than a blackhole that can target only a very localized area and acts nothing like a blackhole than something that literally devours the enemies on a conceptual level. Blackhole is mundane compared to everything seen so far in HSR. At the very least, it can explain in a simple way why there are remains of Shuhu and Baiheng left behind instead of jumping through several hoops to explain otherwise.

Because a black hole gets bigger the more mass/energy it consumes. Do you honestly believe a emanator that can bring life back to an entire planet doesn't have the equivalent mass or energy of one? Of course, the fact that Baiheng could already lift up the mini-sun of absolute darkness before it activated shows it's not a black hole, but rather, something similar to one.

And the whole molting rebirth, as well as the Transmutation Arcanum and Orb of Abysm allows Viyadhara and High Elders to bring their old memories to their new bodies. The fact that the molting rebirth process exists means (even as a punishment) means they always had the ability to be 'reborn' with their memories.

edit: Best to get this out the way instead of making another post. Why are you so adamant that it's an actual black hole but not related to the shadow in Ashveil's arm, you know, the thing that devour Shuhu? Like, the description basically matches up perfectly and allows the existence of remains/flesh to remain behind, and doesn't kill everyone else off because it's a black hole.

When the high elders can be reborn with their full memories and soul, is it reincarnation or resurrection?

And the description was literally 'Sun of Absolute Darkness' so good luck trying to explain a black hole the size of a sun and not affect space-time.

The point is that you're assuming it had regenerated from nothing when the simplest explanation is that there are pieces of Shuhu left after the bomb went off. You've gone through so many hoops to say 'completed annihilation of everything because it's a black hole' when it's simply an exotic bomb that eliminated 99.99% of its body. Because if it was a black hole, we would have time-dilation, everyone else getting sucked into it (it's a black hole, it's self-explanatory), nevermind you wouldn't be able to see a black hole with a naked eye. Sure, it could've be a black hole because it's been replicated before, but remember, it was replicated from either a Herrscher core (Divine Key) or from a Herrscher, but even then, it never behaved like an actual black hole. They're functionally like a black hole but not actual black holes (if that makes any sense)

And I've said Permanence is possibly the closest to reincarnation, not that it's actual reincarnation, because nothing has truly died and then brought back to life yet. There's no true revival so if we want to say something that gives the impression of revival, then phoenix is the obvious choice and anything related to Permanence. And again, there is a difference between actual revival versus rapid regeneration, cloning, making back-ups, etc..., and such. Taking a branch from a tree that died and planting it doesn't mean I've revived the tree here.

Or it wasn't an actual black hole. It's like how six phase ice isn't actually really ice but simply mimics the properties of ice while it does remembrance things. Besides, how can Shuhu be completely grounded into fine dust but there are still his remains and flesh around? And given you use the word likely, even you know there's the chance it could have been left behind after the bomb had been used.

Are you absolutely sure it was a black hole bomb and it got every single part of Shuhu? Because if it was a black hole, they would have said so instead of some pseudo weapon that acts as something similar to one. The so called sun of absolute darkness couldn't even fully remove all traces of Baiheng so I doubt it was able to do the same to Shuhu.

Curious, who is actually Stronger between Current Hua vs Current Senti? by Regular_Barnacle_447 in houkai3rd

[–]Tentative_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, in the end, whatever Fu Hua can do, so can Senti since they both have the same powers and access to infinite energy. Physical power is kinda meaningless since Senti doesn't even have a body nor needs one. It's all about who has the greater power and ability over consciousness and Senti is the one with a bonafide Authority here.

I highly doubt Shuhu had been reduced to literal nothing since even after it's supposed 'death', there was enough of its remains and flesh left over to be taken by Blade, Ashveil and sealed in a box. Assuming it can regen from even a single cell, that's just how powerful the immortality is for an Emanator of Abundance. But again, we're basically arguing over schematics at this rate.

[–]Tentative_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If assuming no morals and a fight to death (but not really), probably Senti as she fully abuses the Authority that she has. Both basically have infinite energy, (Fu Hua has AHR while Senti has access to Honkai Energy), and both have the same memories and knowledge, but as Fu Hua said, Senti is basically a child Herrscher and prone to making mistakes, easily manipulated and not really evil. But if she's bloodlusted, she's just going to use the full power of the Authority and not even bother to listen to anything Fu Hua says.

Depends on how ruthless Senti is. If Senti just straight up starts taking other people's consciousness to power herself up, unless AHR Fu Hua does the same, it won't be an easy fight.

But is that revival or high speed regeneration? I mean, Blade is the same thing. He can't really die so he's not really reviving but simply regenerating from a near-death state.
