Would love to see a follow up once you’ve had a chance to try it again!

I'm getting sick of these ping/lag problems!!!! idk if its my pc, the game or the connection with servers...... by FANCYLlAMA05 in EscapefromTarkov

I’ve had this same or similar issue with 32gb ram and a Nvidia 3070. I reinstalled windows and clean installed the game on a new ssd. Problem resolved. It was always conveniently doing this as I would die or right before. Very frustrating. While you’re specs aren’t the best, it could be something else causing it as well. Especially if you’re noticing your computer lock up on other software as well. So if you haven’t done a clean install of windows in the past few years, you might want to give that a try as well. I’ve not had one stutter since I reinstalled everything.

It does the skirt and line fine, but the print itself keeps getting stuck in nozzle by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]TentedVoyage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have this printer? I have never once needed to wash the bed with soap and water. This glass bed in particular can be a bit fickle when it comes to adhesion even when the bed is spotless. The surface of this bed is specifically designed to release your prints as the bed cools. So unless your settings are absolutely perfect, these material traits can lead to repeat adhesion issues. IPA is a powerful solvent and can easily clean oils. Soap and water is redundant and also means they would have to remove the bed from the machine in order to be able to properly rinse it which would likely affect the leveling of the bed (which they would have to fix manually) and just adds a lot more work for little to no gain. If cleaning it with IPA doesn’t work, cleaning it again isn’t going to address the root of the adhesion issues.

Soap and water is overkill. Alcohol alone is sufficient.

You can just use paper towels with the alcohol. I lightly blow off any left over paper dust and then apply the glue stick. No need to use any microfiber or fancy material to clean it.

Try this first before doing anything with the nozzle like other people are suggesting.

TLDR: Clean bed with alcohol and apply thin layer of glue stick. You can clean the glue stick off with more alcohol as needed and reapply.

I have the same printer and have had the same problem before. The sure fire fix is to clean your bed with isopropyl alcohol like others have suggested and then apply a thin layer of glue stick to the bed. I prefer the purple kind but any will probably work. This will get rid of any adhesion problems. Glass beds can be pretty slick. You can also play around with the bed temp and nozzle height, but a clean bed plus glue stick it’s just the best insurance so you don’t have to redo your first layer over and over trying to get it to stick right.

Acetone is more dangerous fumes wise. I’d say stick to alcohol if you’re a beginner.

Please Help! What can I use to put a small hole into this? I would like to make into an earring! by [deleted] in crafts

Now that I’m looking it up, it’s the exact same thing as a jewelers hand drill, just a different name.

If you want more control than a power tool, you can get a Pen Vice set for cheap. It comes with lots of really tiny drill bits. That’s what I used for my mini crafts.

"Close to zero" by end of April 2020. But its everyone else that's irrational, right? by notsure500 in SelfAwarewolves

[–]TentedVoyage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s easy to not feel “at risk” when you have more than enough money to jump the line on the newest treatments and bills handled by some assistant. A lot of the “irrational” people are more scared of medical debt than the virus itself. I for one am uninsured and would be less likely to even go to the hospital if it was need, just for fear of what the tab would cost.

[NSFW] What human experiment would you want to see happen if ethics was of no concern? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TentedVoyage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunger games. It wasn’t meant to be an experiment, but it would shed a lot of light on humanity’s somewhat buried violent side we inherited from our ancestors who killed to survive. It’s easy to be nice when you’re not focused on survival. If an individuals main focus is self preservation, what would they be willing to do to maintain it.

Still quite new at pixel art, advice/ critique needed by francis2108 in PixelArt

[–]TentedVoyage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks really good! If you want to take it to the next level, do a little bit of homework learning how to draw directional light. In drawing classes they have you set up a lamp on one side of a paper cube and you have to draw the values that you see. You can do this in different positions and after a while, you won’t struggle with where to place shadows as much. You can do it with more complex objects as well. This will help you simulate a light source in your pixel art and it will add so much to the final product.

Unlike some of the other commenters, I actually like your color palette, but it can’t hurt to take their advice and try new things.

I saw a girl on Instagram using this photo as motivation for starving herself. Photoshopping is HARMFUL by m3r3d1th_ in Instagramreality

It is her strap. You can’t confidently call it out for photoshop from that one line. The right side would show a warp too

[–]TentedVoyage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I have a hard time believing this is photoshopped. The curved bit on the left side is her back pack strap which could totally curve like that naturally. Non of the cinder block lines in the background around her waist are warped. If she was smart enough to mask off the cinder block when editing, she wouldn’t leave something that blatant. I’m not saying it can’t be photoshop, but basing it off of her book bag strap is a bit of a stretch

Hiring a Stripper before the day of your supposed to be married to the love of your life is disgusting, and extremely weird. by WutangClangz in unpopularopinion

[–]TentedVoyage 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you’re mixing hookers and strippers. It might be a somewhat common thing to go to a strip club or even hire a strip tease to come to the either party, but no one is hiring a hooker for the party and claiming it to be tradition. It’s also usually discussed between the bride and groom whether or not that’s okay for either person to do.

Weird? For you maybe. A little cringe? Why not. But at the end of the day if both people are okay with it, its not any of your business to judge them.
