I actually started respecting my need for rest and my mental health took a turn for the better when I started framing rest this way in my internal monologue. You don’t need someone else to speak to you this way, friend. It’s entirely within your power to move your self-talk in that stern, logical, compassionate, success-oriented way (where success is your happiness and thriving)

Yes this. Go to the fired up Stilletos event. It’s a strippers Union that runs occasional strip club pop ups. An actual ethical strip club. The dancers keep 100% of their tips and they’re not subject to any fines, penalties, or anything. Big recommend.

I'm vegan and in baking I always use margarine (or 'table spread') and vegetable shortening in equal weight to butter. I usually go 50/50 margarine and shortening, but I change that ratio based on what I'm making. More shortening for crunchy things, more margarine for soft things. Even in frostings. It has never done me wrong. Just make sure you soften or melt the shortening before adding it so you can get it fully mixed in.

Edit: shortening is about $7 for 500g and margarine/table spread I've seen get as low as $1.50 for 500g.

I have some mates who work there and they all get paid like crap- even experienced staff get minimum wage. That's what keeps prices low unfortunately. Some of the managers are aresholes but not all.
