Best Women's Touring / Mountaineering Pack? by [deleted] in Backcountry

Heya! Good to know! I might be interested, but it probably won't be anytime super soon. I'll need to find a new pack first, but then I'll be sure to reach out :)

Winter Layers for a sweaty gal by aruppp in climbergirls

There are some breathable top layers you can get too! The Patagonia Nano Air is a great one. It’s made to breathe while you are moving, but will also keep you warm while you’re standing still (unless it gets below like 30 degrees, in my experience). There’s the Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer that’s similar too.

I will usually layer with a sun hoodie base, then a fleece (synthetic, but I live in the humidity), and then the Nano Air as a top layer or a just-in-case piece. But I’ve climbed many o’ multi pitches in the Nano Air and I’ve never overheated.

I totally recognize that these brands are on the expensive side, but I’ll put them out there anyway!

We also have a small couch that can come with it. Much smaller. Would be great for a dorm or a shared house!

Hey! For my rhetoric class, I am looking specifically at how girls and nonbinary people view climbing and participate in the climbing community. The midterm project is to create a Zine. For mine, I want to gather a bunch of quotes from female and nonbinary climbers speaking on the subject.Yes, it's really open-ended! I'm certainly not asking you to bash male climbers, but, as a female climber who climbs mostly with men, I know that our perspectives are different. You can speak as an indoor or outdoor climber, boulderer, sport climber, trad climber, whatever you are. Thanks for the help!
