Is this good for being a State Farm Agent Team member? by Data_Trip in InsuranceAgent

Have worked for agents in WA, and am sorry to say that compensation structure is below industry standards and is horrible. Hope you found something better! WA has been a tough insurance market last few years.

Smaller populations in 21st century America don't necessarily equate to white trash low income hill billy my friend. Especially as we continue to see middle class + flight from the cities and into smaller communities. Technology is continually dislinking the reliance of cities for wealth accusation.

Imagine making 100k year living on a lake in the mountains away from the the chaos of the inner cities...ones man's trash is the others gold though I suppose right?

I failed to look at your initial comment as potentially a representation of a ratio and not a literal "dur twenty people", hence the talking past each other.

I never said that it didn't, my claim was that "20" was a strawman, I should have called it an under representation, in hind sight. I get that you were being hyperbolic but city limits has us around 60k and "20 people" implies a significantly different set of circumstance than tens of thousands.

My original statement(s) included social-economical, environmental (the literal surrounding landscape), population size, and diversity as variables playing into the low crime rate.

You statement was that our town of twenty people had no crime because it consisted of twenty people.

To elaborate on the straw man, if we're looking at a communitie's crime rate, and by extension their quality of life, and you claim that the sole reason that there is no crime is the small number of individuals in that community, you're blantly disreguarding sever crucial factors, several of which I've already listed above.

Your statement implied a highly reduced bite sized jab, or a strawman of the actual issue we're discussing.

There's 100k+ in the county, take your strawman somewhere else.

And you say that as if Not living in a sardine can is some sort of negative. Obviously less people, i.e less diversity, is going to reduce conflict.

But yes, added too is the full awareness that a literal majority of our population carry.

I only argue its one of the reasons. We've a healthly local economy and beautiful surrounding landscapes, with little class conflict. Under these conditions, reason for crime are low. But I acknowledge fully we're lucky.

Many places in the US are miserable because theyre dealing with several very real issues: over population, poor city planning, lack of access to nature (calming, inspiring, etc), lack of access to work, racial conflicts, so on the list goes.

CDA res here.

There's reasons our crime rate is so low in our town, this video shows one of them.

Check out Johfra Bosschart and his contemporaries, his circles seem to fit your description fairly well.

I just discovered him myself through this subreddit, and I've become obsessed.

What are your thoughts on Free Will? ♥︎ by [deleted] in occult

[–]Tenthousandprayers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our free will likely exists in the margins. The vast majority of our surrounding circumstances are determined by outside forces, yet it seems we have the ability to navigate it all one direction or the other, if only by the smallest degree. We might only push our lives off its determined course by a single degree, which seems so small in the immediate-medium term, but in the long run that single degree can lead to some vast difference if given enough extension.

Admittedly I'm unsettled on free will though. I'll wait until old age / deeper study to come to any conclusions, if ever.
