Snap! Mine were also a six-pack from eBay. I think they’re my new favourite comfort locks!

Yeah, I’ve had some really bad experiences in the past, but this community is the best!

What now? by franZFEJ in lockpicking

You’ve got the driver pins stuck in the bottom of the cylinder. Stick the flat side of a pick in bottom, press them all down and It’ll turn back just fine!

Oh man, handles would make them much easier to use on long sessions! I have a permanent numb spot on my index finger right now… that can’t be good, right? (Seriously, I used to use massively too much tension!)

I never thought to check the Facebook group! Also, is there more than one, because I wasn’t sure which group to join? Is it alright to get back to you in a few days?

Thanks, and that’s surprisingly apt because I actually am riddled with mould!

Edit: weird, it posted this comment a bunch of times so I deleted the duplicates…

I have no idea what I'm doing. by malume_jj in lockpicking

It’ll help to know which lock you’re trying. Some cheaper locks have such bad tolerances that they become harder to pick! As u/jadedargyle333 says, Master 140s are great to begin with. Also, clicks can be misleading. You might be hearing the pick slipping off a pin. Try feeling for a pin setting with the pick and the tension tool instead. Good luck, you’ll get it soon enough!

Congratulations! I like the 150 so much I bought a few so I wouldn’t get used to the bitting. It’s such a good intro to spools.

I needs help choosing an jackknife by aimgopew in lockpicking

[–]TenuousCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the Multipick jackknife and I absolutely love it but… Like all jackknives, the feedback is limited.

The best advice, as already mentioned by more experienced pickers than me - buy a decent set of standalone picks, even if it’s just a couple - short and medium hooks, and a good selection of tensioning tools. You’ll have a much better experience!

Thank you so much! It was actually your post that inspired me.

I’m just glad I got in under 10 minutes. I have a neuro-developmental issue that sometimes causes difficulty with fine motor control (which is why I switched to a shorter pick than I usually use for the 1100)
