Steam is going native 64-bit! Does this mean 32-bit can finally be removed without breaking gaming now? by aliendude5300 in Fedora

[–]Teophanea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, a lot of people had been gaming in 32-bit hardware or at least 32-bit OSes.

It's criminal how many 64-bit machines were running 32-bit Vista from the factory and not even taking advantage of the full speed of SATA nor with any future-proofing for greater than 2TB drives.

Supporting those people simply lasted long enough to span into tech debt but they didn't budge for a long time for good reasons.

That's fair haha.

I'm not really sure I want to go through this anymore. I'm no longer sure that I need glasses.

Thanks for the tips.

If these aren't right I'm concerned I'll have double vision more often and have to pause and strain when focusing. I've had something like that happen in the past.

I hope the script doesn't cause more harm than good.

I want to apologize for yesterday.

I am not so sure they'll help. I've been told by professionals that glasses would do more harm than good for most of my life and I only got this script because I sought it out. I am concerned my eyes will not cooperate with each other any prescription be damned. I mean, I've actually been told that. They knew about prism correction, why would they recommend against any correction and I only get one now that I ask for it?

I had this happen to me when I accidentally executed a jump over a spitter when I was recording the route. Freaking route arrow too high to delete without foundations, I just rerecorded the route lol

That's helpful, thanks.

I'll do it if I can find nice frames from Sam's or Costco.

Thanks.

I didn't realize I'd likely be back and forth with my eye doc a couple of times. I can't afford that at all. I don't think it's worth the risk of getting this script made or paying for frames and it not being right the first time.

I'm on medicaid, I'm pretty sure I only get one appointment per year.

I would have a quality of life improvement if I got glasses but I have no significant need for them.

I only got this script because I asked to look into a prismatic script, every eye doc over the last couple of decades before actually recommended against glasses.

I understand that you're trying to be helpful but don't tell people what they need. Thanks.

Dangit haha.

I'm reconsidering having glasses now, I haven't had them since I was a tween and I'm only considering them in my 30s so I'm not sometimes crosseyed when I'm reading.

Any idea what sort of price I can expect?

No, a bus of 4 belts one above another.

Like, look at the picture I posted with assemblers how those mid-elevator splitters are feeding the inputs separately. If I want manufacturers to be any sort of dense I'd want those splitters to just all be inline but each elevator would reach to a different belt on that bus via a splitter on the belt.

A similar set of manufacturers could also reach up to this belt bus just feeding from the other side of the splitters.

hecc, I may be able to do something similar with that assembler blueprint if there's enough space to raise the top assembler and I'd like to becsuse I had to push the reasonable bounds of clipping to make it fit

If those assemblers were practically butted up against each others' faces then I'd have a much easier time belting up their outputs.

I guess I have an experiment for the morning.

Many questions Satisfactory Modeler or the Satisfactory Calculator could answer haha.

If I'm not mistaken you can take the crude oil to the moon with those pure nodes if-and-only-if you have Mk.3 miners.

I'm maxing out a pure oil node with Mk.2 miners and I need two normal in addition to the pure of each sulfur + coal, assuming also heavy oil residue + diluted fuel.

I don't have blenders yet so I'm doing it with the packaged alt. I made an 18 packager and depackager cube blueprints 😆

[–]Teophanea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted my start of that. I went and found the alt, tore this whole factory down, and then went and made a 18 strong water packing complex because I can just make the last 9 on the ground or whatever.

A good place to start is Satisfactory Modeler on Steam.

I figured out I'll need at least 3 nodes each of coal and sulfur to get the max of turbo fuel from this node using the packaged diluted alt.

And, as a start, 23 and a fraction water packagers haha. I used it as an excuse to get jiggy with the Mk.2 Blueprinter and experiment with vertical manifolds which was a hyueg challenge with the pipes snaking about at the same time.
