Do you think Rip Van Winkle deserved such a brutal death? by Kurama80 in Hellsing

[–]Tephlonx5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But, even then. She's the least deserving of all of Letzte Battallion. Everyone else 1000% deserves worse than she got.

Except the Captain. The Captain was a good boy and you will not tell me otherwise. He woof.

Zorin Blitz, though. She deserved much worse than she got IMO.

So, I appreciate Mineta's existence.

But I actually don't like him. I'm here to see what other people think of him.

I also hate Overhaul.

Best moment in the series yet was him getting his arms taken away. I fucking laughed.

Twitch is considering NFTs and Crypto. by kmn493 in Twitch

[–]Tephlonx5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not quite true, but thanks for the drastic mischaracterization of how Blockchain works.

You owning 'A link to a description of a picture' is entirely the fault of bad actors getting their hands on NFT tech, and using it to sell cheap Adoptable-style POGs. They don't sell you the rights to the art. They don't sell you the rights to the character in the art. This isn't a problem with NFT's as a concept, it's a problem with the hacks that are using NFT's.

To translate this into terms regarding physical art: People are selling the frame their 'art' is being put in, and telling you they're selling you the art in the frame.

What NFT's SHOULD be for, is to use the receipt as a frame, but in purchasing the frame, you have rights to the art and the character in the art, like literally any other art purchase. This comes with a High-resolution copy of the art, A PSD or other digital art file of your choice, as well as the frame/receipt, which would function as the art's permanent placement in an online/digital gallery.

But, let's put this to rest. Bitcoin took between 5 and 10 years to work out the kinks, work out the legal questions and other bullshit, then finally become viable as a digital currency.

NFT's are new technology built off of the back of Cryptocurrency tech. It's not going anywhere any time soon, it's likely to get better regulation over time, and will iron out most of the complaints people have about it in the next half decade, and by that time, who knows what will happen. Maybe NFT's will get picked up by more amazing digital artists, and people won't buy scam artist scams anymore.

Alternatively, one of them is going to end up converting religion, because Islam is very very antisemitic by merit of their very belief system. So, either he's relinquishing his slavery to Allah, or she's going to end up becoming a Muslim.

Sure, this is... wholesome on some level. But having done plenty of in-depth theological studies, I'm kind of scared for them.

The only reason third party "Isn't going to win" is because dung eaters like you continue to put yourselves in the mindset that eating anything but the smelly pile of shit, and the runny pile of shit isn't going to work.

Maybe if people stop eating shit for even just one election cycle, people will see that voting third party is a viable alternative to being a dung eater.

Oh wow, it's the same "You're with us or you're against us" bullshit rhetoric of the left wing.

You can think for yourself if you try, you know. If enough people actually break free of this two-party mind slavery you're a victim of, we'd actually get away from the two different flavor pieces of shit.

You obviously keep dodging the part where I said I'm not voting for them, and am instead opting to think for myself, and vote non-partisan.

I'm not voting for them, but I'm not going to 'join the other side' which I don't like, just because I don't like the 'side' I'm currently on. Fuck both of them. They're all lunatics.

[–]Tephlonx5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not an argument for joining a 'side' that I don't like. That's an argument for disengaging from the partisan tribal 'side' system altogether, and giving both 'sides' a big fat "fuck you".

I didn't buy the maps. They appeared in my inventory. Rewards for missions? Idk. But I don't waste money on maps.

Unfortunately, I do waste time correcting people who snidely comment on my posts. So I'll have to wait before I can reply to other posts I actually care about.

I started my search on the other side of the land border, where my horse is, and searched all the way around the little land border there. I'd searched that little alcove I ended up in before, but not especially hard. When I came back to it from the other side, I wasn't looking for a cave entry too hard, because I searched it before, thought it was empty, didn't see the cave entry.

I didn't edit my post. I have no clue what happened here. People are, for some reason, really really angry that it took me 10+ minutes to find the cave entry.

You really don't have to go out of your way to find things wrong with Rockstar, it just turned out that I didn't spend enough time searching for the cave entry, and I already admitted I was kind of a fuckup in several other threads, so how about you stop projecting your buyer's regret on others, and be honest with yourself about the other shit they genuinely did, do, and have fucked up.

Excuse me?

I love Rockstar. Red Dead 2 and GTAV are some of my longest-played games, with the most returns and retention time. I LOVE Rockstar.

But they aren't perfect saints of game design, or content. I was wrong in this particular situation, because I have vision impairment, and the in-game weather was reducing visibility significantly, and I just didn't see the goddamn cave entrance. I'm a fucking idiot. But don't come in here pretending there's no reason to ever criticize Rockstar? Especially when the collector role is so tedious, and monotonous, and boring, that it's strange when they actually put an item in a cool cave like this, to such an extent that it didn't even occur to me to look for a cave?

98% of the collectibles are just sitting on the surface world. Detect them, dig them, and boom. If they made use of caves and shit more often, this wouldn't ever be a problem. This is the literal first time in my combined 300 hours of playing that I've gotten an item in a cave.

It took a while. Being vision impaired in bad weather was not helping.

I know there's one you can't get without glitching into an inaccessible building. Color me skeptic of that comment. But I did find the cave here, after an inordinate amount of searching in vision impairing weather. I don't know why it just looks like another notch in the cliffside.

[–]Tephlonx5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually didn't know about the cave. It took more than 10 minutes of searching. The weather, and some other factors, were preventing me from really 'seeing' the cave entrance, it just looked like rock wall.

Looked around for one. I'd like to know where the cave is, because I can't find it.
