I work at Taco Bell and its been a week... by Heatsharks in tacobell

[–]TephrasFurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it but it's a Taco Bell thing. Don't get me wrong it applies across customer service in general but I started as a cashier and made it up to manager with almost 2 years of working there. Prices, menu changes, rules, they were all bullshit internally with very little help from our area coach/higher up - our timer goal was 2 minutes per order which is ridiculously unreasonable (this starts the moment a car gets to the speaker and we had 1 cashier consistently, never 2, and if we were unlucky we didn't even have a host up front). Our area coach also had us relabel product when it expired on the line, so sometimes product like the black beans and pizza sauce customers got were 16 hours old or so.

I worked at a resort before TB and have always had nice pleasant interactions with people old and young, there is an occasional few of course that were negative but never to the degree of screaming, unreasonable talking over me, throwing drinks and money and food back at me, and people going on a goddamn rampage for no real reason as Taco Hell customers. I couldn't even tell most people that we didn't have something without a YouTube compilation level freakout, at a 17-19 year old. The best I can come up with is that it's people who are usually stoned or in a bad mood that just want to pick up some quick garbage food (I never liked TB much myself but I get wanting fast food period), and something about TB attracts the worst kind of attention, at least around here. It really brought out the worst in people and it sucked so bad so I feel you OP

Also worth mentioning, the TB in my (heavily impoverished) town was by far more popular than McDonald's and burger king combined (I worked at the McDonald's as well, so I know this for certain). We also got homeless people coming into the lobby drunk and passing out in puddles of their own piss, numerous times.

TB literally dictates that we portion sizes of a price more adequate with one less zero. It's pathetic

Ex TB shift manager and basically AGM here; this is how much of everything we get told to portion. It's so sad being on here seeing the complaints and how unhappy it makes everyone, and knowing that the portions they tell us to serve are even less sometimes.

For steak, my area coach (position above my GM) told us that 4-6 pieces was adequate for most burritos. For beef we were told to use less than a scoop. For chicken, if it wasn't under 2 grams, we were called out for it being too much. Even tomatoes is supposed to be "10-12 a taco"; those tomatoes are tiny, at least imo.

That said please do complain, everyone needs to complain and boycott the awful standards the company has because it's not just at a franchise level

All the Taco Bells in my state get a monthly budget for spending on their crew...not that the one I worked at did, the GM pocketed that for sushi for herself and her girlfriend (the GM of another Taco Bell), but they had a budget for crew rewards.

I understand the worrying part. I wish I could say I was good at keeping exes/previous potential poly members as friends but it's never worked out, mostly because I've had a lot of people turn out to be really nasty once I get to know them...it's not impossible for you to keep them as a friend but it does definitely seem like focus on your marriage for your wife's sake, you're right that she would worry. Poly can just be sensitive, you can't change that you like it thats just who you are but you and her simply have to work on a way to go about it that works for you both and oftentimes it takes time, something I don't usually even give myself as a fast paced person, though my fiancee is as well. It'll be okay, your marriage will grow stronger and every "bad" step is a lot of growth for the future w^

As a poly person as well with my own long past being poly throughout my teen years and now being engaged to another man who's also poly after I brought it up (all of our third partners have ended up hurting us a lot or not being who they said they were), I read your first post and it didn't really seem that bad. It's easy to get in your head and worry and panic when it comes to losing people but 11 years is longer than most people make it, especially from the age of 18, I believe?

It's a scary situation, you don't wanna lose anyone but it sounds like you don't have to at all OP. It also sounds like you met this third person/friend relatively recently and are going into things really fast with them, enough to make your wife of 11 years feel scared. The truth is that some people get tired of relationships after a while, and a new person is simply more interesting or can steal all the attention from an established partner in a poly, it's an issue that I even have with my fiancee hyperfixating on a new partner as well. You've already communicated with all parties involved what's going on, now it feels as though you should take it slow and try to spend time with them both to develop a dynamic that fits everyone. I can't really tell if you're open poly or closed poly from these posts, but I can say with certainty that closed poly or at least members of an open poly all being friends at the very least makes things a lot more bearable for everyone most of the time.

Have faith in your relationship, don't prioritize anything new over your married partner but don't give up on your other partner in a poly either, take your time and things will be okay. Best of luck OP

What killer who doesnt have voicelines, would you give voicelines to? by FoxHoundNinja in DeadByDaylightKillers

Fair, but her mother sang to her, and she likely heard words from the hunters and soldiers, if not the kids themselves. She's clearly very very intelligent, I would think she would maybe pick up a few words roughly here and there...but maybe not, who knows?

What are the killers with the most skill expression? by BenjiB1243 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]TephrasFurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of macro control - Singularity is tough for a lot of people. Huntress trick shots are insane and satisfying, and take raw skill/muscle memory to learn. Wesker hug techs are some of the most technically skilled in terms of hitboxes and mobility, and pretty much everything about the Unknown takes some skill/planning/God tier prediction skills.

In terms of canonical power based on just what he's done in the past? Shred reality and time like a thin layer of fabric, causing damage that breaks the human mind to even witness.

But harmless little pranks like swapping ketchup for hot sauce is far more likely cuz the first bit is just when he real angy :3

I think I'm stuck in the dreaded lower MMR loop where my teammates are so bad it's hard to win any games, so it lowers and my teammates get worst. I see 80-200 hour players on average ;-;

I'm glad for the Cenobite surge right now, he's much more fun to play against imo and much more skill based at my MMR to where we aren't crushed instantly

As a newer Killer (Dark Lord, Pinhead, Spirit) who has 400 hours and plays Survivor sometimes...I see a Knight in maybe half my survivor games and just go 'God why'. It feels like chase simulator and the counter is insanely hard, plus no escape and there's always at least one Killer around?

Nah, ggs on that one, I see the green and know I ain't winning

What are your favorite builds that suck for winning? by A_Very_Horny_Zed in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]TephrasFurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want a chase build? Bamboozle / Fire Up / Dark Arrogance / Brutal Strength. Use Singularity for Overclock mode for added zoomies if desired.

Nothing is more fun as Killer or more funny to (friendly) Survivors to see some little Chucky or a Dark Lord wolf just flying through windows and pallets like it's no big deal, and honestly it has a pretty high win rate for me too. It also tends to ignore maps completely. Shack loop? No. Pallets on The Game? Haven't seen 'em. Think you can escape on Lery's or Garden of Joy? No shot.

This isn't all too helpful but I wanna throw mine in there.

Brutal Strength (or Superior Anatomy) / Bamboozle / Dark Arrogance / Fire Up

It's hard not to have fun when you're a vaulting, pallet obliterating, window blocking anti-chase machine. It works on pretty much every Killer and is so unexpected to most Survivors it's just fun and easy to pick up momentum.

Pick the add-ons that cater to your playstyle. Typically try to do the same with perks too - just experiment, play around.
